I love february here in san diego. The rains bring out all the pretty wild flowers. Mustards, lupines, poppies. The landscape is completely transformed.

we have an awesome new park that higgins loves going to everymorning. There are hiking trails right off the park.

This was blooming off the trail

Up here the oxalis pes-caprae is just starting to bloom - the worst weed of all, but at least it's pretty when it flowers, LOL:

Steph, Mr. Higgins still looks spry for his age. Such a sweet boy. Show everyone a photo of his face.

The next time I'm out when it's not raining, I'll take some pictures of the huge fields of wild mustard growing all around here. This is dairy country and the cows love it, so it's not really a weed. It's planted specifically for the cows and it's so beautiful at this time of year.

He gets his park time rain or shine. I dont think hes missed a park day almost his whole life. He sometimes gets to go twice. I get to spoil him since we don't have kids. poor little guy gets a little more gray every day. lol

that weed is most beloved by my son and his dad. they are always lobbying for its survival. and I have to say. Even though it is the worst I kind of like it too, but feel i must try to pull it out if I think of myself as a gardener. Ah the internal battle wages. hehe
