Happy birthday, Zuzu, and may this be a wonderful day to start a great year for you.
Happy birthday, Zuzu
And here's an article about roses showing only Zuzu's roses, written by Sharron, and dedicated to Zuzu.
Happy Birthday, Zuzu. I hope it's the best!
Here's the link, Pirl, thank you.

Sorry I messed up the link, Sharon! I still hadn't poured my first cup of coffee.
Have a Happy Birthday, Zuzu! I read on one of the other threads you enjoy a Margarita now and then - OLÉ!!!
happiest of birthdays, zuzu
Pirl, is that Arena lily? gorgeous
Crystal Star, Louise. Thanks. I love it, too.
Thanks, girls and boys.
Angele, how great to hear from you. It's been a while.
A margarita, a mint julep... I'll take any and all of them today. This is the day of a projected trip to a couple of local nurseries, but I think I'm housebound instead. The rain is raging out there.
Nery, you're such a good pal. I think I've seen you wish me a happy birthday in at least four places today.
I'm sure you know, Louise, that Pirl calls my mudslides mudslingers because she assumes I'm always dissing someone as I drink. And you know, she's right! So many people to criticize, so little time.... Such a pretty poppy, by the way.
Steph, I know that's a McGredy floribunda, but which one? Priscilla Burton? It's gorgeous.
As it turned out, I was not housebound. I had a fabulous day. The nursery jaunt had been planned by Joanne, a friend from Guernsey. When I expressed my disappointment that the rain would keep us from going out, she said we had to go to all of the planned places anyway. As she put it, "if we Brits didn't go out in the rain, we'd never be able to leave the house." So we went to four nurseries and then out for a hot fudge sundae. I bought six clematis plants, lots of begonias, and many lily bulbs, and the owner of one of my favorite nurseries gave me a lovely blue hosta for my birthday.
As soon as Joanne brought me home, Thalia arrived by surprise to take me out for sushi. She brought a bagful of silly but wonderful gifts, including jars of Smuckers Goober Strawberry and Goober Grape and some cheese and salami from the deli, which her children had trimmed into heart shapes in honor of St. Valentine's Day. The cheese and salami were actually gifts for the cats, but I think they'll share them with me.
I'm a b/day party girl....
What lovely friends you have. Glad your day was so great, you sure packed a lot of fabulous into it. Cheese and salami trimmed into heart shapes for you, now that shows how special you are to others! :-)
I really do have lovely friends, Angele. There are so many things I love about my life, but my friends are the absolute best thing about it.
It's Susan, with yet another beautiful collage! They're all gorgeous, but Snowcone's gaze is especially mesmerizing, and Missy Mau is such a fancy kitty. Thank you, one and all.
I'm still using your yawning cats collage as my wallpaper, Susan.
LOL, really?? That is sweet!
=^..^=
Kitty, Is Mercky incredibly big, or greatly hairy?? He is adorable, as are they all.
Zuzu, you have partied all over the country today. In spite of the rain I am glad you have had such a great day.
Sharon!!! Mercky is a 'fluffy' GIRL. I am not letting her on here today. Her feelings would be crushed.
She is sitting in the most unladylike pose, so I guess you could make that mistake. LOL
Her name is Mercury Marie, but it is usually Mercka Perka Merck.
I bet Zuzu didn't think she was a boy.
=^..^=
Kitty, I am so sorry....please tell Mercky that I mistook the entire situation. My Daisy would never allow herself to be caught in such an unladylike postition. Now Jazz, on the other hand relishes his total freedom to do as he pleases.
JD....what a lovely thought, and bet Zuzu appreciates the beautiful blond holding the sign.
Mercky can't be a boy, Sharon. All tortoise shell cats are female. Besides, she's got such a girly face.
JD, you didn't have to describe the photo to me, even if I did qualify for social security yesterday. I can see it perfectly and I truly appreciate all your efforts.
SEE, Sharon!! :-P
My first mistake ever....
just don't let it happen again !
If it does, you will never know, JD.
I never knew that all tortoise shell cats are female. The things one learns on a birthday thread!!
All calicos and torties are female. There have been a few isolated cases of male calicos, but they're always sterile.
Happy Birthday, Zuzu! I love how you spent your day.....you really know how to celebrate! LOL May your days be filled with beautiful buds throughout the coming year! (and margaritas at will!)
Louise
Thanks, DB, for the good wishes and the gorgeous flower. I love it!
