When do I plant onion plants in zone 6? It is still down to 15 at night, sometimes gets to 70 in the day--the catalog said to plant them now...
When to plant onion plants
As long as the ground is not frozen. At 15 degrees at night consistently your seed bed may be frozen. Spring planted onions fall into the " as soon as the ground can be worked" category.
Thank you very much. I have always wondered what that meant for peas, etc. (as soon as the ground can be worked) Now I know.
