When to plant Pink Jasmine

I found a great deal on a 5 ft pink jasmine, but I am hesitating to plant it. I believe we are zone 9 and our last freeze date 3/23. I am completely new to the gardening thing but need to learn quick as I have a new house with 3 acres of nothing. Not one plant. :-( We do have a pool and I was going to plant it on the back fence for privacy...some day. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
