need info on windbreak trees that will grow to less than 12'

I have a bank behind my house and the bank is taller that the house. very windy and need to look into windbreak. Only problem is can't have trees higher that 12feet due to falling over possibly HELP!!! thanks

Hi Susane, could you manage to send in a picture, what type of soil you have, do you want evergreen, coloured flower .leaf etc, there is such a vast number of trees/ large shrubs that may suit your situ, but there are just as many that would not suit soil, light levels or just dont like them to look out onto. a little more info will get you more help with your needs in mind. Even let us know the trees / Shrubs that grow well in your neighbourhood would help most folk with your situation require plantings that will also help bind / hold the soil in place for you so it dont roll down to the bottom of your banking. WeeNel.
