Deb, my mixer has dough hooks with it. That's how lazy I am! I really don't have the strength in my hands!
I had a terrible night. My knee hurt almost all night. Pain pills didn't work till way in the night. I feel cruddy today. Called my Dr. but he wont change the pills, I think he thought I wanted to up the dosage, but I wanted a different type if pain meds. I think half of these, maybe more, are placebo.

Hey Audrey.....mom's knee is still giving her a lot of trouble too....I can't get her to stay off of it...sure am glad her Dr. Appt. is on tuesday!

Doe41...The doctors don't give a crap about your pain. Mine is making me go thru gawd awful painful steriod treatments, then if that doesn't work, we go thru something else, and if that doesn't work they will finally cut the nerves. The doctors want to get every penny they can from medicare and our tri care, so they drag it out as long as they can. Our pain doesn't bother them one bit, but the money they can get for keeping us in pain for as long as they can is their main goal.
My pain has been an 8 to 10 for the past week and if the doctors don't do something to stop it, I will stop it myself! I have had enough! I have been in pain(4 to 10) for the past 12 years. Enough is enough.

Sorry I have been missing so much lately my rain is on the fritz and running backwards..

I have good news well kinds good news. I finally recieved a phone call ack and the company we did the workshop through in november is going to try to get us into a program through the city to help us with the amount the mortgage company is requesting. It takes 30-45 days to find out if you are approved but its worth a shot.. I also spoke with Chase,,, GRRR they said if I send in another payment of $600 by the 15th that it would hold further proceedings for roughly 30 days. So the race is on...

I did some calling today for making money too.. May have some work at the florist lined up for Valentines day stripping roses and helping out in the shop. Did a haircut this afternoon and have a hair color comming after Max goes to work tonight.. Busy busy busy.. Im tired can I take a nap???

LadyDragon our taxes have been filed already.. Unfortunately they ever get to us before the end of April or early May.. I have to file a injured spouse for o they dont take all of them for Maxs back Child support for the twins and that form itself causes and additional 46 week wait for the return.

BJ that bread sounds yummy.. I may have to give it a try sometime.. I personally love making fresh beer bread n th eoven.. Quite yummy if I do say so myself.. lol

Cathy, so sorry you are in such pain dear. I sympathize with you. Have had chronic neck pain for 18 years. Chronic pain can leave you feeling hopeless. Did the epidural injections, surgery, etc. but still pain. Finally saw a chiropractor 1 1/2 years ago who has changed my life. Not 100% free of pain, but it is very manageable and I actually have some days that I don't think about it.

Donna, it sure seems they are jerking you around but I know it's just red tape. Wish I had a giant pair of sissors to cut it for you.

Stacey, can only imagine the expression on your DH's face when the handle came off in his hand. His brain must have done a double take.

Speaking of brains - my is very tired. Left the quilting class around 3:00pm. That's my lowest part of the day in terms of brain activity. Needed to come home anyway as our new dining room chairs and bar stools are being delivered between 4 and 6pm. The table will take 6-8 weeks to deliver. The girl who wanted my old table and chairs will pick them up Sunday. We will have nice new chairs around a folding table for the next 6-8 weeks!

Well I heard from Kim and she is in Ohio now... I am very glad she got there safe... This has been a wonderful day.. I heard from and old friend and I was not expecting that ... I was doing the happy dance...
I wanted to say that I can't seem to post as much as most of you... I just don't always know what to type about.. Its not that I don't want to be here it just seem I can't keep up and you all have so much to talk about... So I just wanted you all to know that I really enjoy being here and maybe one day I will really remember most of your names...LOLOL ^_^ Also you all are so talented....

BREAD UPDATE... Well, I prefer yesterday's bread... the dark beer in today's bread wasn't as good... and also, yesterday I mistakenly only put 1 tsp of salt, instead of 2 tsp as the recipe calls for... and it was lighter, and better tasting... so, change that salt to 1 tsp.
Other than that, the crust was better today ... but yesterday's wasn't bad... so, I'll stick to what I did yesterday.

Susan, it's ok... I don't usually have anything to add to the conversation either... I just fake it sometimes, or just make up a new topic. We just like to hear from everyone... so, you just keep posting just like you have been.

Debra... it's heavenly to smell, yes... but more heavenly to taste.

Donna... sounds like that bank wants to be in the real estate business, instead of the mortgage business... *** I just typed something I shouldn't have, and would get kicked off for, so I deleted it all*** all I can say is... hang in there sistah... something will give.

Cathy, dear sistah, I know you're in a lot of pain... my mom had such problems too, for many many years... back, hips, legs, knees, and feet. I hated to see her suffer so, and the doctors never found a solution to the chronic pain. We rubbed every night with Theragesic, and applied heating pads (3 of them) before going to bed... seemed to make it better sometimes. She also lived on Tylenol 3 for the last 10 years.

I also posted what I did above just to let you all know it is not that I don't want to be here just I am brain dead and can't/don't know what to say.. Most if you knew me would say what????You don't have words??? Yes.. I am not the best to type my feelings my fingers don't connect with my brain... I feel stupid like before when I said oh I like your horses!!! Now could I remember who posted it??? Nope... 2 tylonal 4 and 3 valium
1 hour later repeat
and then dirnk a half a bottle(so far, it will be empty by bedtime, LOL) of Chambord. (ya know, I might just do this before I go see "The Evil Doctor. DH is driving, so no problem there.)
I feel GREAT!! The 1st time in over 10 years I have had no pain! zero. nada. nuttun. zip. Who da thunk?
I gotta to to Jacksonville tomorrow to get some more Chambord! Will see my good family doctor next Wednesday for my monthly supply of pain pills.
We live in White county, and its dry county(mostly because of Harding University--- Big holes).

Cathy, Cathy, CAthy...you watch that mixing meds and alcohol. Or even just mixing meds. They do really weird things to you that are not good at all. I know you want the pain to go away but check with a pharmacist (they'll tell you if you call) before mixing things in your stomach.

Cathy, Kathy Ann seemed bummed but was looking at the positive side of things, and I guess the cold got to the plants and a lot of them weren't doing good. I would have been bawling my head off if I lost something like that. I'm very proud of her.

I don't know if I'm getting better or not, part of me says yes and then I get a cramp and have to go, so then I think it hasn't changed, I don't know but I'm getting worried and wishing my dr would have scheduled some tests, or even just take a stool sample, ya know?

I didn't get to come on last night, I fought with my dishwasher, I did a load of dishes and opened the door to empty it and there was rust splatters all over the door and the splattered on the bottom rack. I only had 4 metal pans in there, the rest was glass and plastic so I ran a regular cycle with nothing in it and found tons of soap caked under the door so cleaned it up and found no rust this morning when I checked after I got up. So I put the same four metal pans back in this morning and ran it again and told Dave to not touch it, I want to make sure one of those metal pans isn't rusting. Of course he wanted to put all of the metal pans in it lol I'm trying to do a process of elimination here LOL!

Deborah, I used to take B12, but sub-lingua.. under the tongue. I had told him how I could be tired easily, and he'd say it's the blood glucose playing havoc.
Ok.. I am tired of getting the same replies.. do take vitamins.. but I also think too, if I could lose at least 20 pounds, maybe my metabolism will be back to normal?
But then, insulin will set me back to gaining more? Catch 22 there. I am so glad I am still alive, at least I can do something about this.

Susan, a special note here. I can be the most 'reserved' at times and quite sparse with my speech here. You don't have to write a novel of what's going on day to day... at least not here. It's good if you could, cause I lead a boring life, having no kids :(
I found these sistahs here are so embracing of us no matter how different we are. But we are also major worry warts. If you don't post, we worry.. so, even just a sentence "I'm okay" will satisfy us all.
Sometimes there are postings that none mean to overlook or ignore in reply. I for one have ADD!! So don't ever think your words are not important to any of us..........and don't hide in that shell when you got us!!!

Thanks Jaye, I am out of my shell tonight just in a different mood but it is mostly good...
Cat, I am not saying this so you do it but please be careful what you mix.. I can take most meds even the powerful ones and have a couple drinks and no bother... Now when I was a young girl I would get these god awful headache's and doc said it was from allergies well no matter what he gave me made them go away so I would take 8 aspirins at a time and then again in 2-3 hour and that would take the edge off... Now if I want pain meds they would/will make me go to a pain doctor and I am so tired of doctors.. So instead of pain meds I take coated aspirins again but I don't take 8 as when you get older you sometimes get smarter...LOL Just take care and be careful as sometimes tomorrow you will pay the price with more pain for your pain free night.... Off my box now... Please don't get upset with me for saying this.

Jaye I don't have kids either! It is boring with him working that darn 3rd shift, but he survived the 5th string of layoffs today! I'm hardly ever bored, I love the quiet times and I hear of all these nightmares about what other peoples kids and grandkids do and how they behave, and I think, "Yea, I'm glad things have turned out the way they have and Dave's happy without" even though he would be happier if we had one, but I don't want the responsibility. Not having kids has kept me young.

Well if you want a few kids I will send you a few of ours...LOL No really they are great and I am happy they still love us and want to be around us now that they are grown...LOL Most family's beg for there kids to come and I am very happy they want to come most of the time.... LOLOLOL

Finally winding down for the day.. The haircolor on an old clients girlfriend turned out great and I made a new local accaintence.. Shes really sweet but still only 24 and it shows that she still has some growing up to do.. really liked her though and it was fun to pick on my buddy with her.. the best part is she has him acting more mature than he ever has..

Cathy, Please Do be very careful mixing meds and alcohol that can be very dangerous. We love you dear and wouldn’t want to see you end up in the hospil.

My brother in law has had severe headaches for as long as I have known him (about 30 years) they just kept getting worse. He took so many aspirin that he ended up in the hospital. He recently had such bad headaches he was off work for a few months, I can't remember what big clinic or hospital he is going to now, they still aren't sure what is causing it but have been able to get at least get him to the point he can go back to work. That is good because my little sis has been off work with back problems for over a month and just recently they have found cysts on her ovaries and liquid collecting around her heart......I sure worry about them.
