Judi - take cuttings of the vinca in the back. I'll bet they'll root right off. They you can set them each in their own little pots for winter's planting. That would be a fun project - starting the vinca patch without spending any money!!

actually, if it's a large, established patch of Vinca. There's very likely to be rooted plants all over the patch that could be cut off from the parent and dug up.

I'm sure there would be lots of rooted plantlets of vinca you could move.
I'm looking forward to sitting on that porch when I visit my son's family. They are planning on coming east this summer, so it won't be for awhile. :) Nothing like inviting myself. LOL. BTW, if anyone comes east and is going to be in south Jersey, let me know.

I am actually removing part of the vinca in the backyard to make more space for vegetables and there are lots of little rooted plants. am going to try transplanting them as soon as this rain stops!
