More cold. So what else is new?!

Last night's moon.

At least last night's moon had thrown the power switch at 1 a.m. Didn't have to use the flashlight.

After last night's picture of the moon, I had to go look out the window. It wasn't really in a good position to view and there was no way I was going outside.
Hey, we're up to 16 now.

I think so, it threatened to strike until warmer weather.

It cracks us up down here, when school is called off for an itsy amount of snow. like yesterday. DH's school was in session, but a lot of others weren't. DH grew up near Syracuse and he said they never got off unless 2' fell overnight or they couldn't start the buses. He said sometimes they kept them running overnight.

Nice sunny day again. Looks so nice until you go out. Started in low single digits and has zipped right up to 13º. Strong gusty wind from the nnw makes it seem worse. On the bright side there doesn't seem to be any storms approaching in the next week and starting saturday we should get above freezing during the day for several days in a row. Yeah! Melting I hope.

Temp of 15, wind chill of pure nastiness! Had to pump gas today, couldn't wait, the wind went through my parka & gloves. Man at the pump next to me had a sweatshirt on! My DH says the circus is always in town---anyway, whomever is in charge of this winter can turn it off--I've had enough!

just back from jogging - a little cold out there

one more month and things should start to warm up at least to about 50F during the day
that will do for me, after this winter anything above freezing will feel warm hhahahahha

Wind is really kicking up. On a positive note, though we're only at the beginning of Feb, I already see a nice increase in the output of my solar panels. With no clouds and a very dry atmosphere, it has put out 24 kWh today. At the end of Dec I would only get about 10 on a clear day.

I would be sun bathing.

It was so cold here this morning we had ice in our birdbath. Yeah, I know, 28 degrees to you guys is a heat wave!

Went skiing this morning, it was 1 at the bottom of the mounain, didn't want to know what it was at the top. The last run we did was long and windy, I froze my eyeballs.

Holy crapola is it cold.
21 but 11 with the wind chill so if it's making it a 10 degree difference it should be around 6 degrees tonight...brrrrrrrr

I wouldn't have gone, but it was only our 2nd time out this season, and time is running out. Only go weekdays - less crowded, very few there today! DH has had an 8am class everyday this quarter, so we haven't had many chances to get out.

Today, the high temp (56 degrees) was a record low high for this date. Does that make sense? Don't ask me to try to explain it better. LOL
