pineapples... anyone growing any

i have had some growing and produce no fruit then i put 2 apple halves next to it and it bloomed this was last year.

Someone gave me one plant that he said was one year old. It is very healthy, but nothing yet. He saud it takes 2 years.

I have one potted and inside. I don't really expect it to fruit for me but makes an interesting house plant.
