How do I start crimson bottlebrush shrubs for seeds
How long ago did you plant them? Some things are just a little slower to germinate than others. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page in this link it tells you a bit about what it takes to germinate--sounds like they don't really need any special conditions, but it can take a little while to germinate (14 to 60 days) http://b-and-t-world-seeds.com/carth.asp?species=Callistemon%20citrinus%20bs&sref=14951 The other thing I'd check is how deeply you planted them--with tiny seeds you generally just put them on the surface and press them in rather than burying them, so if you buried them too deep that could be the problem too.
thank you for the link I try to research things before I do them but I couldn't find the info. I was trying to start them in the dark so now I know the problem thanks again
Most seeds will germinate better with light--there are a few out there that need dark but if you get seeds and can't find instructions for them, I would always go with light since that's definitely more common.
