My new favorite strep (this morning ^_^) is Watermelon Wine. It was planted in a 2 1/2" pot on 12/9 as a starter plant and it has grown so well. I couldn't ask for more as far as vigorous growth and couldn't be happier with it's first flower.
January Blooms continued #6
Very pretty goldleaf!
Oh my gosh, Goldleaf. She is even prettier than Copper Knob! Thank goodness I have a baby of her.
It is another winner from Jonathan Ford.

Don't know if everyone saw this ... a great article on Trailing AV's by our own Critterologist: http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/2147/
Come Spring, I think I must order at least one trailing AV to try!
Wow Goldleaf--that is just gorgeous!
Gorgeous as always, Gail. Does anyone have a better strep collection than you? Please save me a leaf of Janus. Lovely blend of color on your mystery strep.
Goldleaf, what gorgeous color and texture on your Watermelon Wine!
Gail, somehow I doubt your pictures will ever look puny LOL.They are all beautiful.I think it's a toss up for me between Blue Leyla and Bristol's Bluebird.
Lin,thanks for the link.I'm going to read it right now.
Lynn
I came here to thank Lin for the link and see you beat me to it, ibrabec ^_^ She has been missed lately. I have a few trailers I am growing and don't forget I promised you a couple, Lin.
Thanks, phoebesviolets. I like your Goose Egg and the delicate coloration.
Gorgeous blooms, Gail!!
Goldleaf, I just love your Watermelon Wine.
Gail, as usual your bloom are beautiful. I especially like Streaker. The flower is different than others.
Lovely, violets, Sally, and your photos are always so well done with time and effort. I need to spend some time practicing fancying mine up.
Growhappy, don't you love Something Special? It is one of my top favorite streps.
I am so glad January is almost over. Just think, in a couple of weeks it will be Valentine's Day which makes spring seem not so far away. I notice the daylight longer by then too.
Imadigger - have your strep seedlings grown?
Such pretty pink flowers ladies!
Wow,great pictures today.^_^
One thing for sure. We all love pink don't we!
Goldleaf, my strep seedlings aren't really growing fast enough for me. The first leaf on them is less than 1 inch long. I've transplanted a few of them into solo cups to see if they would grow faster. I'll take some pictures in the morning and post them tomorrow in a new post. It's almost 4 months since I sowed them, and I thought they would be much bigger than they are.
Imadigger...you are doing well! Sometimes it's a little slow at first. They'll take off. I have 2 pots of seedlings myself and every now and then, I squeeze the pot to make them move to wake them up and get them going. It seems like sometimes they are content to just sit there.
The other day I tried crossing Iced Pink Flamingo (variegated) with Azure Giant. It took!No matter what comes out of it, it will be fun to see.
Looking forward to seeing your seedlings.
very nice episcia growhappy
Drools,for all of you.
Lynn
