January Blooms continued #6

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

wow, Goldleaf. She is sooooooo nice!

It won't be long Gran until all your episcias are going to be loving the heat.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

What a difference a day makes with a bloom.

Here is a sinningia speciosa Red Slipper from seed. She is almost as orange as Franken Copper Knob.......a real keeper for me.......to propagate.

Goldleaf--Sister Silvia is a beauty!! I have a couple chimera trailers-- but none has bloomed for me yet:( As always Gail-- your flowers are gorgeous!!!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Goldleaf, your 'Sister' Sylvia' is georgous. I'm going to add that one to my want list. And Gail, as usual, your blooms have me drooling.^_^

South, TX

Great blooms Hillbilly Gran and Goldleaf! Gail what gorgeous reds!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Marjorie is the one who went nuts last year over Jack Evans red........she hasn't bloomed for me yet but when she does, I am going to start Marjorie one of the good reds.

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

Those red sinningias are knock outs.

Sister Sylvia is an easy to grow chimera. Crisp and bright...semiminiature in size.

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Wow,I've been missing a lot of pretty pictures today.

Gail, the sinningias are drop dead gorgeous.

Golfleaf,How are you? Your chimera is so pretty.

Ford's Something Special is a special one i think.

Nottingham, MD(Zone 7a)

Yep, Gail, I think so too. The one I posted is Ford's(had to go check!) Not a shy bloomer at all.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I have the "other" Strep. Something Special--think I like yours better. Mine is nice too, though. Blooms prolifically.

Nottingham, MD(Zone 7a)

I am really surprised that some of my episcias are blooming now. I think it was because I increased the warmth and humidity. I have another one, Pink Gator, that is about to bloom. When she blooms will take a pic. Isn't it nice to see that bud peeking at you? I get so excited! LOL

South, TX

Here is a sweet plant. Heinz's Good Vibrations.

Everybodys pictures are great.I get so much pleasure from looking at them instead of the snow outside. The only thing blooming around here is one cactus,an angelwing begonia and a gerbera daisy, all brought inside for the winter.

I only have guesses, Kivit. The first is hard to tell because they are not fully open. Could it be Grape Splash from Thompson. LLG has it. But I remember the blooms being gigantic in size.

The second might be Bristol's Candy from Rob.......just a wild guess..........

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I love the colors kvit--beautiful blooms! Wish I had more room for streps! Maybe someday...^_^

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Streps don't take up any more room than violets???????

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

They do at my place Gail--I have mostly minis. I just bought 2 streps from kathy's streps--Goose egg--which I have wanted for a long time, and B Hey Mei. I also have 2 compact Streps and 1 mini. Used to have more, but gave them to friends.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

OK>>>>>didn't realize you grew av minis. They are so cute!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Tomorrow will be too cold to get out so I will take pictures. Here is Bristol's Showstopper with her first blooms.
