Everyone is welcome to show or share their Tropical plants and flowers or whatever catches their eye in the garden.
I assume that we are about only half way through winter, so keep those pictures and gardening ideas coming.
Tropical Garden #29
It's going to be in the 60's today. Thank you for a break in the cold weather. I am so over it, even though it would really help reduce the amount of mosquitoes we will have this summer.
Rita, I love that curly Hoya, I had never seen anything like this! Is that a croton on the right? All red? Pretty amazing!
I could kick myself for not getting the var. st Augustine when I had a chance. DH thought it was the dumbest plant. Then years later I saw one in a hanging basket and I liked it. It did look like a spider plant, sort of, but it would have made a good conversation piece to say it was st augustine grass.
euuuuw, sunshine.....butiful!!!
Rita, that hibiscus looks so luscious I could eat it. :P

Sunshinesw, what a nice neighborhood!! That mango tree is covered in blooms, I hope that the cold will not make them fall off.
All of your plants are saying thank for covering them up, by giving you all those beautiful blooms.
My amazon lily will come back every year for me, with nice healthy leaves, but no blooms. Thanks for showing it
Oh, it was so beautiful today. I love the sunshine and the warm weather. I know it's only January, but I'm ready for Spring! Bring it on!
Great photos everyone!
Hap, thanks!
Dutchlady, your plumies are beautiful.
Pacenciarita, thanks! I grew the Mango tree from a seed, it is about 10 years old. Had some fruits few years ago but it didn't taste too great, I should have grated. I am keeping it any ways for a shade tree for my hoyas, epies.
I kept the Amazon lilies almost dry for 1-2 months, I don't know if that does the trick or not.
Joeswife, congrats!
These orchid flowers smell really nice, sort of like roses.
kukiat, those are beatiful!
kukiat... what beautiful blooms.. I have never seen those before today.. thanks so much for the photo!
Kukiat, WELCOME to our Tropical forum. Beautiful Blooms. Please show us more pictures of your garden. Thanks. Jerry
Sunshinesw, Love the orchid. But what the HECK is that in the back ground???????????????????????????????????????? Jerry
Jerry, the back ground is texture wall. lol
Sunshine... Your Orchid is very breath taking.. I once knew a man in Florida who had a green house full of Orchids.. it was his hobby.. I am so afraid of them it is silly!
Just give me a stick, tho, and I will make it grow! LOL.. cardinal flower from cutting in the following photo.. this is from last falls cuttings .. it is called Ruby Slippers..
And I can't help but try real hard to remember what my patio was like last summer... and the whole yard, and fences were all covered with wonderful growing things,, that are now saved by seed, roots, or cuttings.. or inside wintering.. poor brunsfelsia, poor brugmasnia, poor ferns and begonias .. well they are happy down in the basement here with me..
