...well, that's what we call it, that or a weed. In the winter it has growth the color of straw? & it shoots upward 4' or so. In the summer it's full of tall green weeds. I'd like to figure out how to get rid of it before spring planting this year.
Need to get rid of broom straw
It is an acid loving plant, that takes over pasture or old fields. Lime. Bring the the pH up tp 6 or or above ,break up the soil and reseed. no more broom straw until the soil regains its acidity.
That sounds fairly easy! Soon as I can work the ground, I should be able to take care of it. Thanks for the answer.
