I have a very old rubber tree plant, It was given to me last feb It did fine until this last month all the leaves have fallen off it looks like it is drying up the stalks are all brown . It is in a very large pot
rubber tree plant dying maybe
how much sun does it receive? did you let the soil get too dry?
Mine is in a south facing window, I water it weekly(so it drains out the holes) and grows like a weed..
Assuming that you haven't recently moved it or changed its conditions in any way, I would suspect either too much or too little water. If the plant has grown a bit since you got it last year it could have become rootbound which makes it very difficult to get it enough water--if this is the case and it's not dead yet you could try repotting it into a larger pot and see if that helps. Or since you mentioned that it's in a very large pot, if the pot is very large relative to the size of the plant then that makes it very easy to overwater plants--if that's what is going on then I would repot into a smaller pot.
