The fog sure was weird coming home on the ferry tonight. We were up at the front of the boat watching it swirl around.
What weird weather we're having #10
You just took that pic Sofer ??? :-p
You'll get that Ferry schedule worked out some if you want to Tilly! I know you will. Even pictures from the ferry with all the fog could be quite pretty. I haven't taken a ferry in many years. Sounds fun. But, not if I had to plan my day by it or the fog. For me it's the ice. I know me schedule to the T when the roads are good. I haven't left any cracks in my travel time lately with the commute being longer due to ice. I never would have thought of that issue with Ferry's and fog.
That would have been an interesting sight for me Mauryhill!
Steve, How do I know when to believe you?????????????
You are a card LOL And thats not Montana.
yeah, notice how he said that it's 'early morning and the sunset is spectacular'?
I think the snow finally got to him and he's dreaming about someplace warm!!
ROTFLOL!!!! yep, I think that you nailed it Sally!
RC I have been doing this for 2 years, its not fun. you have to be to work at this time, the ferry is at this time in order to be at work on time. you have to get up at least a hour ahead and catch the boat on time. Coming home is the same but worse, depends what day it is, and the timing, I have set for 3 hours waiting to get home, I do a 15 hour day most days, sometimes I'm lucky and hit it right, They don't run like a bus.
LOL To Funny, Steve we got your #
Love Ya
No, I wouldn't think that would be fun. I also think that it would be cold at times. I wouldn't know about a bus for commuting. I did that when I lived in Corvallis. But, it doesn't run out to where I live now. But, I'm no good at planning more than an 65 min for my commute. You would think that after all this time that I would learn to plan for it, but nooo....... Weird how we all have our schedules so ingrained that something that is actually expected, still throws us off. Or at least it does me. :-p Don't you think that Sofer has had a little too much snow??
The Seychelles is an archipelago nation in the Indian Ocean, east of the African continent. I think it was just on Nightline recently - bit of a pirate problem there. Keep your head down, Steve.
Well I think he's had too much somethin'. But when you meet him, you'll recognize the twinkle in his eye and know to take much of what he says with a grain of salt. He's a kidder, that one.
That's for certain. Too much of something. Can't say that that sounds like a bad idea right now :-p
Thanks for the geography update. I knew that I should know where it is at.
This is my dreaming of spring, no ice, and no fog, tribute. (taken today, unfortunately in a greenhouse. But still.... there's hope!)
Well, if you're going to dream, dream big! There's a 6 star hotel there that runs $1095 a night. Looks like a lovely place.
that's a big dream. But, i like it!
Notice that Steve is quiet now!
Where did you go now Steve?
I'm with you guys - dream as big as you can. You get what you ask for. Maybe we should plan a roundup there . . .
Now there's a plan I like!
He just throws out a comment, then sits back and watches where it goes.lol
As long as we're dreaming, I'm in.

Yes it is very cold at times you can not have you car running while on the boat. but I have a little heater you can run in the cigarette lighter thingy and I can charge my cell phone to. Have all the things I need to weather it. Plus I read lots of books, none anyone would be interested in as I like westerns.
Yes Steve is on his own planet. LOL
Katie, Where was Rob trying to send us, can't find it.
Whatever kind of book works for you Tilly. Besides, i think that some folks still think that the PNWest is still the wild, wild, west. When your in you car there you can dream of Seychelle beach!
Sally, sometimes I think that's the best way to go!
Who ????
Clearly none of us that live here. But, believe it or not I've met a few visitors that are actually surprised that we have things like 'broadband' (although not in a lot of places yet) and cell phone coverage, etc.
There are lots of places I'd like to see. But spent so much time traveling for work, I got burned out. And airplanes are much worse now. Airports and planes for that matter, aren't always the best when going to those types of countries. Landed at one, had kind of structure at one end of the runway, with a flag. That was their tower, the best they could do. Had a table set up with water, souveniers, etc. for sale. Just a lay over, only there a short time. Lots of memories, mostly good (at least unusual).
LOL, do they really still think we're that primitive?
Well, at the very least it sounds interesting Sally. Left you with some interesting stories too. Glad I haven't ever been on a plane that had to use that set up for a tower! That's for certain. :-p
Yes, some do think that! You'd be amazed what I here when I'm on the phone with customers from other parts of the country. One time I had a customer on the phone that asked me if we had computers here so that I could look up a street address for him. It was so hard to not choke on my laughing when I heard that. I've heard stuff like that quite a few times.

I am a Louie Lamour big fan have all his books. some are first add. was so sad he past away, was a great writer.
My new addiction Is the writer William Johnstone, love his books. I should have been born in that time, A new Anny Oakley LOL
Yep, lots of stories. It always seemed to me, that the poorer the region was, the nicer the people were. Didn't need to speak the language, sign language worked most of the time. But yes, sometimes I wondered about the condition of the planes. One of those "What have I gotten myself into this time?" feelings.
tills have you tried Ralph Compton? My dad had read all of LL, so I got those for him and he really liked him. Still have a bunch.
Funny how that connection between the monatary condition of the region and the 'niceness' of the people is made.
Tilly I bet that you would make a fantastic Anny Oakley!!
I have read a few of his books he is a good writer, would like them if you don't want them? I love westerns will take a pic of my wall, I have so many and will not part with them LOL
Time for nite nite for me, been a long day.
Hugs to all
Sleep tight
Nitey nite Tills! We'll talk about the books later.
Okay, had to say this, then going to bed.
Give me a good horse, and a Winchester rifle in my saddle hoster and a six gun on my waist tyied down. I could be happy riding the lonesome.
Night All.
haha. That's awesome Tilly!
tills...ROFLOL
rc....that's awesome!! Do you know what it's reflecting?
haha. I do, sort of. It's difficult being backlit and upside down :-p
A door! with plants on both sides of it. now knowing that's it's a upside down door, it should be more obvious.... I think.
Then again, since it's looking into Steve's world, it might not be whatever it seems!
Oh I forgot... Steve's world....it's probably inside out too!!!
