Hi everyone here is a link to the previous thread http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/941557/ .
I would like to start this one off with a Dickcissel who is spending the winter on our farm. So far he seems to have adjusted to the cold weather and I usually see him everyday. He is much shyer than the other birds but I am always excited to see him.
Daily Pics Vol. 172
Beautiful Rose......when you are finished, I have some to upload.
Thanks GP...I hope you have some Indigos to add! I am through for now so please go ahead!
GP, those are so beautiful. Wow yall this is very addicting! :)
Rose I love the Cardinals as well.
Thanks GP and Henrygirl!
GP...wow you got some fantastic shots there and those Buntings are so gorgeous! I must admit that little Indigo made my heart skip a beat. Gorgeous birds all but the Painted Bunting shots are over the top!
Here is an Eastern Meadowlark that always lands in our dead tree and sings his heart out when the sun is shining!
I can't believe the variety of birds you get there, Rose! What a beautiful bird!
beautiful shots today all... and you are right my birds are much fuzzier up here in the cold.... even the red bellied looks so much different this time of year
Such beauties!! It's so nice to see the ones I don't have here!
Rose the Eastern Meadowlark is beautiful!!
Gpom the Buntings are amazing!!
gardenpom, those Painted Buntings are gorgeous!
Beautiful pics Rose! Thanks for starting the new thread!
GP, I love that second Painted Bunting shot and the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher is adorable!
Thanks everyone for the nice comments...I don't think I will out too much the rest of this week, but next week looks much nicer.
Rose, Is the Meadowlark with you all year?
I like the shot of the jay with the peanut. Haven't seen them much lately.
Looked out this morning and had two pileateds - one on the ground! Never seen that before. Got a couple shots; if work slows down a bit I'll get them posted.
Rose and GP thanks for the beautiful pics to look at this morning. Have to unload pics from monday & tuesday to see if I have anything. Was gone all day yesterday, so no pics. Maybe something intersting will show up in the backyard today. The high is perdicted to be around 3 today (that maybe optimistic!) but will have windchills. Right now at my house it is -7 plus windchills for around -18, so no pics outside today!!
Buddy and I will be making quck work of our potty walks today!
Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I do enjoy showing off our birds of the Ozarks!
Pelle...the Meadowlarks are here all year but I don't recall ever seeing or hearing them until they showed up early last spring and I almost hyperventilated when 3 of them landed in the dead tree. Since then I am so lucky to see and hear them regularly. Often we will be walking across the fields and will have up to 5 or 6 fly up in or face. They really blend in when they are on the ground.
Here is a Song Sparrow that winters in our area and are plentiful around the farm.
