No good pics of the Painted Bunting today....the sun was too bright here, but you can see his vibrant colors reflecting in the feeder.

The funny little Catbird loves to hide out in the shrubbery.

Gardenpom, loved that last shot of the B. Orioles! Cute way to show their beautiful coloring.

Also, great job on the others too.

The Robins have been enjoying the sun

I can't believe I'm seeing buds and new leaves on all the trees in our area. We've been having low 30's every night for weeks now.

Here's another Robin

We have a pair of Mockingbirds that live here year round. They love eating the Toyon tree berries.

A Lesser Goldfinch on the Toyon tree looks pretty with the berries. These native trees are everywhere in our neighborhood.

Nice ones duc! You're posting while I'm posting, so I'll wait until you're done! I just saw your finch -- WOW!!! He's not supposed to be that colorful this time of year! Is he?

Love the finch pics Mrw. I hung a finch feeder only a few days ago and yesterday morning, I counted 17 finches and I couldn't even see the ones on the ground or in my crepe myrtle. The weird thing is that they're eating the crepe myrtle seeds like crazy, but they didn't bother to feed there until I hung the finch feeder.

Here is what must be a juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Coloring is weird, but it has that white stripe on the side that doesn't fit anything else that I can find.

Another pic. He really disappears against the tree.

Here's an echo of GP's pretty Blue Jay shot. Mine is eating a cherry.

I was very excited to see this wren b/c I'd just made and hung a wren nesting box. They always make nests in the hanging plants under my eaves. I figured if I hung a box there, they might quit digging around in my plants! It would also be much easier to water my plants, if I don't have to worry about nests!

Pelle, I totally agree with you. The hardest bird for me to photograph is the Ruby-crowned Kinglet. This one would not stand still long enough to focus. Finally, he flew toward me instead of away and I got this shot.

Nice pics duc and Elphaba!

It's been too cold and windy to be outside for any length of time so these few pics were taken through the window.

Here's a pic showing just some of the European Starlings around, I saw a couple hundred more on the front lawns at the same time.

Onewish that last is such a pretty shot.

Too many, but you all know I love seeing your pics!

We have had huge flocks of Starlings passing thru too. Just a few from the other day on a neighbors roof..

I guess since the weather has not been extreme things have really been a bit slow at the feeders here. Which does not make for very many pics for me! lol

Of course all the woodpeckers come by and the Hairy Woodpecker have been here a little more frequently than normal the last few days.

They just don't cooperate like they others do when I try to take their pic...very fustrating!
