Christmas Cactus Seed

Frankfort, KY(Zone 6a)

Mine is in full bloom this year, first bloom opened Christmas day ^_^
I know this can be grown from cuttings but can the seeds be collected and what is the best way ?
I found some very small dust laying below the flowers, is this seed or pollen.

That is pollen. I've never seen a seed capsule, which isn't saying much...

I've never seen seeds on any of the ones I've grown either. Someone else posted on another forum asking for directions on how to start seeds that they had collected, but they were purposely trying to cross two different plants and had hand-pollinated, so I expect if you want seeds you may have to hand pollinate as well. Although I've never done it myself, I've gathered that they're pretty easy to start from cuttings so as long as you don't mind them looking just like the one you have that's probably the best way to go.

I think the only way to grow another Christmas Cactis is from a cutting. I have never seen seed pods or seeds from this plant. And getting a cutting to grow is no problem.

Thanks for the reply s

I googled it myself a few weeks ago there is a lot of info about it. It can be done.
