Does anyone have any suggestions on which cucumbers would make good pickles, yet still have a great flavor if left unpickled?
I'm thinking I'll give cucumbers a try, but would like for them to be multitaskable(?).
Thanks for any input!

Cucumber/Pickles
I am personally addicted to the heirloom Poona Kheera. They are a yellow cucumber that I love fresh or pickled.
Oh, I just googled those . . . they do look interesting!
The small variety called "Patio Pik" is good for pickling and slicing. It has compact growth and will work well in a container.
Just a note about Poona Kheera, most of the pictures on the web show them brown and russeted. If you wait until then to pick them, they're rather firm and a bit tough. I'd pick them deep yellow and try to eat them the same day.
Thank you both for the input! I'm getting hungry just thinking about them!
