What can I plant now in Arizona
Hi what zone are you? Is your ground frozen due to winter or are you having winter?
I dont really think it matters unless you are planting outside because I actually started buying plants in the winter but they were for inside. I live in California in a city where the sun shines all year round. I didnt get outside plants because I felt it would be too cold for them but my plants for inside the house thrive and grow all year because of the sun. I guess you have to consider how much sun comes in, if any and go from there. Good luck!
All the shrubs, bushes, and trees need to be planted NOW. They need to get their roots growing before the heat of summer comes. You will have to irrigate them real often, test the soil a inch down, if it is dry, water deeply.
With the water shortages, you may want to check around your local nurserys for xeriscapeing type landscape plans and plants. These natives will give you "more bang for the buck" in more ways than one. They will grow better than non-natives and will not require as much attention.
All plantings will require water every week for the first year, but these are natives, so they don't need much/often. And still look great.
The reason I ask what zone is because here in NH the ground is frozen to plant anything now. Unless your planting in planters.
