Met I've been getting my mealworms from Grubco.com and order 20,000 at a time! I know that Wild Birds Unlimited and pet stores sell them in smaller batches if you want to give them a try. I feed the live ones but they are also avail freeze dried and canned.

Here's a pretty female I found in my pictures.

Mealworms are great - all the birds seem to love them. Wow 20,000 at a time sounds like the way to go!

you know, I've had a question about mealworms. How long do they live when you put them out in this weather?

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Mrs. Ed...they are usually eaten as soon as I put them out! The White-crowned Sparrows and Wrens finish off whatever the BB's leave! I've put some out late in the afternoon and they always get eaten..live or dead! I've even had the Wrens eat ones that were floating in water.

Yes I buy the freeze dried ones, you can soak them first or put them out as they are. They are gobbled up immediately!

Okay thanks.

Nanny and I cross-posted, so i'll repeat her link for the new thread.
