Here is a Black-capped Chickadee from the other week. Believe it or not,it's 61 degrees here right now.

Male Northern Cardinal and female Brown-headed Cowbird.

Was it noon? Looks like a show down at the feeder.

80 degrees here yesterday, a bit too warm for the holidays. More of the same for today. Here's a Blue Jay.

Flocks of Robins have been around. There are four in this pic.

This young male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was having a grand ole time pecking holes in the walnut tree in the backyard!

I think that goldfinch photo.... they look like they are posing for you.... that one needs a caption!

The Loggerhead Shrike returned yesterday.

Still lots of Red-winged Blackbirds!

The Starlings continue to raid the suet feeders!

This Starling has a very odd beak! It's right foot is also deformed although you can't see it in the pic.

Here is a comparison showing a "normal" Starling.

We also have many LOUD Bluejays! LOL!

That poor bird. I hope he is managing to eat OK. Your pic reminded me I forgot to upload my Starling from yesterday. This one was all alone, but sat singing prettily for a long time before flying off.

Pretty GP...this one didn't seem to have a problem chowing down on the suet and was scooping up bird seed with no problem. I did feel sorry for him though with the club foot and all!

I have had some very nice Christmas Morning Visitors. We had a male flicker at the platform feeder. Got pics I have to down load yet. We had a female Blue Bird land in the tree, hopefully checking out the water bowl. Didn't get a pic of her tho, darn it! All of our woodpeckers, load of jays, half a dozen squirrels. Been very busy in the yard and best of all the sun is hining today!!

So here are pics from the 23rd...Wish the Sapsucker would come over to the closer tree more often. It is coming fairly regular and eats for the longest time when it does!

I have three Anna's Hummingbirds here, apparently staying for the cold winter.

Our young Calif. Quail and filling the feeder box every morning now.

Another Calif. Quail that doesn't seem to mind the wind and rain we've been having.

ducbucin, I love seeing the Anna's Humingbird and that's a very sweet pic of the quail!
