I have a terrible time with septoria every summer. I read somewhere that seed producers are working on a tomato variety that is resistant to it. Has anyone heard about this or are there already tomato varieties that are resistant. I'm love to have good tomatos in '09.
septoria resistant tomato
I assume that you mean Septoria leaf spot caused by the fungus Septoria lycopersici. No resistant culivars that I am aware of, but it is easily controled with fungicides such as Daconil. http://www.ext.vt.edu/pubs/plantdiseasefs/450-711/450-711.html http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/factsheets/Tomato_Septoria.htm http://pmo.umext.maine.edu/factsht/Septom.htm
