Lingernot/Staynot Gladomeer ۞ #9

New thread! We came from here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/924221/

This is a picture of my sheep and chickens, who are excited to meet Lingernot when he arrives!

Lingernot is a long distant cousin to Staynot. Staynot is currently away and can't be found at the current time. Lingernot has volunteered to fill in until Staynot returns.

You keep it for one week.
Must take a picture of the Gnome in your garden.
Sign a piece of paper with small note and place inside of Gnome.
Write your location at the bottom of his pedestal.
Post pictures and send the little guy to the next person.

Keep in mind we should keep all addresses off of this forum and just between the person who has it and the person who needs it.

ps. Lingernot likes Tropicals and other Gnomes...

We know you'll be a gracious host to Lingernot, and before you release him to the next in line, dmail that DGer to confirm mailing address and ensuring active participation and if possible, the contact phone number.
Thanks.

Glad you started a new thread for the next adventure of Lingernots travels. The other was getting very s...l...o..w; just like Christmas!
Travel safe Lingernot.

I'm happy to report that Lingernot has arrived safe and sound, though a bit cold. It sure is a good thing that he had a cozy blanket to keep him warm.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Yea!!! It is cookie time in IL!!!!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Yes, I've been telling him about the upcoming cookiefest weekend. But he's a little nervous and excited too, about the big storm we are going to get tonight into tomorrow. Not to worry, I told him, I have a 4WD truck!

Eugene, OR

Hurrah!! He's arrived safely and timely too. I bet that angel used her wings to get him there so quickly. But poor lad, out of one storm into another! I'm sure he'll handle everything just fine and I know he's looking forward to cookies!! Secretly, I was glad he was snoozing in his box during our rather eventful drive to the post office.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm glad he got here yesterday and didn't have to be carried around in the conditions today!!!
We will be getting our day started shortly!

The first thing Lingernot wanted to do this morning was to check out the snow outside.

I suggested that we go outside to play a little bit later, but asked him if he'd like to see my giant Christmas cactus, which was once my Great Grandmother's.

He really loved all the blooms!

Lingernot asked to see my garden. "Well," I chuckled, "It's asleep right now… pity you weren't here in the summer."

Here he checks out the Rue and Autumn Joy Sedum

We crunched through the snow to the bird feeding area. Lingernot was happy to see the Illinois State Bird, the Cardinal. He was a little unsure of the squirrel though…

… And the squirrel was a little unsure of Lingernot.

In fact, I think that the squirrel was a little scared of Lingernot!

Beautiful pic's of the squirrel & cardinial. I can already see that Lingernot will really enjoy his visit in IL.

Eugene, OR

Oh, I'm jealous, you have cardinals! I'm glad you posted that picture, Lingernot saw a lot of birds here, but not one of those. That squirrel spotted that axe, no wonder he was afraid! He's in for more fun, I can tell.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Great pics. I am glad to hear you are doing okay in that storm.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lingernot sure looks so 'handsome' in snow. His colors brighten up the screen.
Stay warm my little friend.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Looks like he is off to a great start. The pictures are super Mrs_Ed!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Ya Lingernot is defending the birdfood from the tree rat ^_^ I TOTALLY luv the pic with the three of them. It looks like the cardinal is giving the squirrel a piece of its mind for eating the food while Lingernot is on guard against a flank move ^_^

I had to catch up on Lingernot's adventures. He does look handsome in all that snow. I love the picture of doggie & Lingernot, I'm sure doggie was just getting acquainted with our handsome gnome. Raining here in California, weatherman said we will have rain for Christmas, hope he is wrong.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Pegi!!! Wishing you joy and lots of laughter today!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thank you Jaye. Going to be a quiet day as weather is dreary and wet. I made a trip to my favorite thrift store, something I really enjoy. One of the shops had set their plants out for rain water and I was wondering if they left them there for me. LOL Beautiful big plants too. When I came out of store to go home they had taken all the plants in, I guess they knew what I had in mind.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Green plants sitting outside???? LOL! Here they would be limb and brown, our weather is so cold lately. It may have gotten to 37 today, and they say we have a chance of freezing rain tomorrow! Burr..r..r! Show us some pictures of sunshine and live plants please!

Hello All!

Well, another successful CookieFest. This year we had two new helpers. Lingernot and my 6-year old nephew. Things were a little more crazy as a result.

Lingernot thought my Mom's kitchen tree was so adorable.

Yummy Spritz cookies! Your nephew is adorable! I bet you all had lots of fun. Did lingernot have a favorite cookie?

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I think Lingernot liked the spritz the best because of how magical they are. Lots of shapes and sparkly sugars!

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Yes they are magical. One second in your mouth..and before you know it they appear on your hips!! LOL. Glad you all enjoyed the day! Spritz are one of my favorite also!!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Yes, what would the holidays be like without spritz!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Sprinkles. I adore sprinkles. I'm very hungry now.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

The chocolate coated pretzels are messy but I bet Lingernot helped clean that up! I would have if I had been there...love chocolate!!

And that larger helper is adorable!!
