Tiller, OR(Zone 8a)

I have a White-throated Sparrow wintering here with some of the Golden-crowns. It's another lifer for me, and they are seldom seen in this area.

Also............on 12/06 DH and I were visiting w/ a neighbor out at the hiway, and a hummer, likely a female Anna's, flew in our faces. I ran home and fixed a feeder, but didn't see it in use until the 9th, and only that one time. We're having horrid weather here, so I sure hope it's gone on to where it should be this time of year. At 1500', this was my first December sighting of a hummer.

nanny, are you aware that that little owl is only about the size of our American Robin? They have a lovely call.

Thanks burn. I love the Evening Grosbeaks. They do pass through here a couple times a year, but they are few and only short time visitors.
