Nichole, if you will crop your pictures, you can take them at a distance and make them pop out of the photo.......your plants are just beautifully grown. Do you care if I mess with the Optimara Little Diamond to show you?

edited to say that Corel is free...........that is what I use.......don't pay for it........we wouldn't know what to do with the pay for version anyway.

Go for it. I'm just happy my percentage of fuzzy pix has gone down with this new camera. I think I know what you mean, though.

Actually, the Corel Paint Shop Pro software came with the new camera. Tell you what . . . I think it's kinda confusing!

That's why I was asking about the first two pix . . . I used two different settings on the new camera . . . They both seem to show the correct color of the blooms, at least.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

let me try........I saved it under my pictures so I can crop.

That is because you have the fancy pancy Corel..........use the free one.......much easier and better..........

let me try another one..........

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Don't get too close . . . you'll see I haven't pulled spent blooms for a bit . . .

Sally - which do you use - the fancy pancy or the free one? I haven't gotten to the point of putting in frames, but someday! ^_^

You know the answer to that question as Sally uses photoshop i think..........It won't let me copy the other one. It thinks I am cheating (LOL)

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

I use Iview to resize all my pictures and if I want frames around them I use PSP...

Her name is Chipper. She is a Parrotlet. Four inches long.

You mean molting? Yes, they do get new feather sometimes. I just make sure Chipper gets lots of baths and has her little bathtub full too when molting. I give her some protein too in addition to her fresh foods, little bit of scrambled eggs. It isn't easy to get new feathers.

Chipper loves strawberries, the seeds really. She eats many good foods thank goodness. I bake for her a lot too. Her diet is mostly fresh with seeds and millet available, but she doesn't eat them that often. Too many seeds are bad. I just ordered more foods to cook yesterday. I order and bake and buy so many things. She loves pasta too.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Peach is on Roudy bush and she also gets some seeds/and or millet... I don't cook for her as oftern as I should but she gets veggies and fruit several times a week....She is a keeper and if I have time tomorrow in between cleaning I will get a picture of her....
Hugs,
Susan

I'd love to see her!

cute names-- my guy is Booger--he was a rescue from a breeder and has some trust issues. His name stems from the first time I asked him to "step up"---big--green and stuck to my finger. I didn't need stitches--but close. I have had him 5 years-- he still doesn't step up--but will let me rub him all over-- AND doesn't attack me when I feed him-- anymore.

Williston, ND

I had a cockitail.and she used to come find me if i wast where I should be,she love to sit on my shoulder,,that was years ago,i want to get more someday,i love the little guys
JIM
and of course Id love to have a parrot some day,a mccaw

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Ok Peaches Mom you better show them my picture....LOL Now mind you her colors are a little off as she is molting and if I go away for more then one night she plucks herself to her down feathers .... So You really can't see the beautiful colors that she has... She also has a very pretty blue under her wings.... She is a female and we now know that the females get the orange ring around the eye and the males don't

Awww Susan---cute baby!

South, TX

She's a cutie!

Birds are so much fun. Chipper flies around and has about six playgyms. She has a huge flight cage and the door is usually open. She still chooses to be inside and play there, ha. Right now the door is open and she was out with me and flew back inside.

Awww...Sally! I've never seen a parrotlet before, b/c if I had, I would have wanted one--LOL. Is it rare?(Been admiring your little guy for some time now)
Jim---Gran---any pics?
The canaries(I've wanted one of those for years--Love their song!) at the nursing home I work at had babies this weekend! I'm thinking of taking one. Anyone have any canary experience?

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

I have some pics--but my 'puter is on its last legs and won't let me post them today--it chooses a different way to aggravate me daily. I think a canary would be sweet. My sister gave me booger and dexter(a Tecuman parrot). They already had some really bad habits when she got them and I am not experienced enough to get them out of them. If I had it to do over-- I would have liked to have gotten a young one that i could handle--but these guys are not too much trouble-- they are well cared for now and not abused--even tho' there are times i would like to strangle dexter---he doesn't like it when we have company so he SCREAMS and will not stop even if I cover him and turn out the lights. Dexter doesn't talk-- but he has my laugh down and we laugh together a lot at the TV. Booger likes to make the dogs howl and he is very good at it--especially when I am on the phone. He can talk-- when he feels like it-- unfortunately he mimics me talking to dexter-- a phrase that begins with "Shut UP....."
