My mom just bought this tree. It bare's her favorite fruit. It's a tropical fruit but she doesn't live in a tropical zone but instead California. Is possible to grow them indoors for a few winter months? If yes how do the lighting. Are special bulbs needed. What the ideal soil mix? Please help, thanks.

I don't see why she couldn't bring it in for the winter--if she's got a bright window/door she can keep it next to then she may not need to worry about additional lighting, otherwise plain old fluorescent lights work fine, you just need to have them close to the plant for them to actually be effective.
