I am having a tree taken down (huge pine) and have to dig up a Weeping Cherry tree and 6 hedges (no idea what kind)so they dont get demolished when the tree falls. They have been planted for 2 years. I really cant plant them yet as I have no idea where to put them as we are doing major changes to our yards.
Can I dig them up and wrap the roots in burlap and leave them outside until I plant them in approx 4 weeks?
BTW I live in zone 7.
Thanks and awaiting any advise.

Hmmm how big is the weeping cherry? I can have a training box made for it, just send it my way. :)
Go with karma, do not let them dry out, and keep them out of direct sunlight.

Tim--he he... I love that Cherry as I love my children!!
Karma-- They dont flower. I actually got them as a clearence deal at a nice size for 7 bucks a pop. Would still hate to see them die.
Thanks for the advice.
Janice
