I found these on my forsythia. Are they eggs or something else?

I found out these are katydid eggs. Thanks for looking.
That's really neat. They look like little seeds, not eggs.
When I fisrt saw them I thought they were buds. Weird.
I've never seen katydid eggs before--how neat! If you're real lucky, maybe you could get some pics of them when they emerge.
That would be neat but I clipped the branch tip and tossed it out. Don't want new little ones eating my plants! LOL The experiment would have been pretty cool but hen I'd just have to kill them anyway. So...sorry.
