Here's a bit of an argument that happened between the female and male
Red-bellied Woodpeckers. Apparently she is overstepping her boundaries.
You go girl!!

Wish I could have gotten them both in the shot better but it happened so fast.

Pelle, they are absolutely beautiful images of some gorgeous birds. I also really loved the picture on the previous thread of the Starling and the Woodpecker. The last pic here is a beauty. It's a high action shot which shows the Woodpeckers specially designed feet so well.

Thanks Margaret! The Red-bellieds are such charcters you can almost be assured of some action if their around.

BTW, has anyone heard from original_sybil lately?

Beautiful start for the new thread Pelle...thank you for starting it! I love that female RB Woodpecker...they have such an elegant look . Great action shot of the two of them!!

It has been so dark and gloomy here and I tried to take pics yesterday but they were all very bad!! I took a few early evening Friday of the Bluebirds with an ISO of 1000, something I rarely do but they didn't turn out too "noisy"!

Here is the female Bluebird.

Beautiful shots, Rose. I particularly like the one of the Carolina Wren singing. Good capture.

Cramlington, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I haven't been out much recently to take any shots but I went out today with my sister to try out my new camera. Very cold today, frost at the beach.. The frost has persisted all day which is quite unusual here.

I liked this duck with her fancy hair-do.

Knip, beautiful shot of the cygnet!!

We had a family dinner here on friday. Of course, in the midst of eating, an adult Yellow-bellied Sap Sucker landed on the tree. But couldn't just jump up and grab the camera...well, okay I did, but not fast enough though!! lol

Yesterday morning had a beautiful Blue Bird come to the water dish, Didn't get a pic of it but that is promising that they will come here looking for water. I did pic up the blue heated bowl from Tractor Supply last week!

I haven't seem original_sybil post in a really long time now that you mention it pelle.
