Early Mazuna Mustard

New Iberia, LA

I couldn’t find my normal mustard seed so I planted this Early Mazuna. They grow like crazy but there is not much leaf. Dumb question but can you cook the stalks/stems? They don’t produce a lot of leaves and I believe that a rabbit would go hungry eating only leaves on these things. If you have grown them, I could use advise on harvesting.

Nevr tried it. seems popular in the organic community, but here we grow mustard -spinach (Tendergreen) when we need a substitute for Florida Broadleaf. Much milder. Apparently the stalks of Mazuna are valued.
