So, this was the cool surprise that i found coming up early the other day. Unfortunately it was getting dark, so the pic is fuzzy.
Northeast Gardening: Garden Photos - Part 45
Good morning Shelly.
Great shots as usual.Just up after a "leftovers party" but the hostess made a turkey, she had gone somewhere else for TDay. Fourteen people and only three others brought their leftovers.
DD and SIL are decorating the outside today. Not a big deal just roofline and three prebulbed trees. If SIL stays home long enough to get the wiring done I'll take a picture.
There isn'y a single flower here worth snapping.
Good morning Jo Ann. What a great idea, a left overs party. I love it. It seems odd that only 3 people brought theirs, that's not right. I bet your place will look really nice when all lit up!! This warm spell has brought a few things to life again. Oddly enough, quite a few rhody's have decided to bloom. Not mine of course, which is actually good, but others in the area. A spotted a couple of magnolia blooms, osmanthus, and a cherry trying to bloom. I love to see them, but they need to go back to sleep!
Must be the japanese currant that brings such warmth and humidity.
Pretty shots, Shelly. I like that erica.
It very well could be that Jo Ann! I just know that it was warm! Today's high was almost 30 deg. cooler. Burr....
Thanks Victor, it's certainly odd for an Erica.
Quiet thread today.
Thanks, you guys! She is not hyper at all, and I love that about her. She's low key, like me. Other dogs I've had in the past have been too hyper. One was an Australian shepard mix and the other a Lab/Rottie cross. My Dad has a yellow Lab, and he's not hyper, either. Wherever I go with Patches I always get people stopping me to ask what kind of dog she is an to say how cute/unusual looking she is. She gets lots of attention.
Nice pics, Shelly. I like the hellabore buds. I have buds on mine, too, but won't be blooming till late Feb.
Karen

That is a great buy, Victor! Wish I had some extra cash. I bought a lottery ticket yesterday. Drawing is tomorrow night. Who knows, I may be a millionaire come tomorrow night. The jackpot now is about $128K or so. Woo hoo! I can just imagine what I can do with that money.
Karen
Sorry, Karen, but I have the winning ticket! I'll buy you a camera.
Okay, Victor, I'll hold you to it if you end up winning! And if I win I'll buy you more rocks!
Karen
Diamonds?
LOL!
Ahem, excuse me. What about my needs? hmmm? I think if one should win a million there should be an alumni fund.
that's a great idea dahlia! do you think that they'd go for it? :-p
glad that you like the Erica Bill.
Karen, my hellebores don't usually bloom until late Jan/Feb as well. I was really surprised to see that one so far ahead of the others.... which are all still sleeping.

another pic of the dark leaved phygelius. i'm sure that it's obvious by now that I'm really taken with the plant.
Just figured out the first pic as Hydrangea, Thought it was Helleborus ,when You named it I realized your magnifier was turned on.
Still waiting for RosyDawm new 2009 cat to come online. Pirl emailed and they said they had a problem but were working on it.
I'm definitely a little behind and making things more complicated because I'm tired. it's past bed time. I've never heard of Rosy Dawn. I'll have to check it out.
They are "Coleus Central" for me. Thats all they grow and their shipping is genius, all plants cost the same.Lov-it.
Sounds interesting. I'm not that into coleus because it's an annual, but maybe they have some other stuff or just one of them that's so interesting that I have to have it! Have a good day! I'm off for some sleep now!
Little purple heuchera looks like it is sugar dusted. Hope you all are doing well. I have been a bit busy and just been lurking from time to time. The usual end of season burnout I guess didn't help either, but starting to get that withdrawal fever again and I am glad there is a place to come see pics and talk about plants, gardens and plans for the next season.
Well you've been missed and it's nice to have you back.
Lovely photo too!!!
Nice shots, Pat. Love that heuchera one.
