Must have been fun to see those two together Nanny. I saw a pair of red-bellied ones knocking on wood and trying to impress.

Rose, your pictures are just beautiful.

I finally got three OK pictures of the blue-headed vireo. Pic 1.

Thanks Marna and Elphaba!

Nanny..cute shot of the Downey's!

Elph...What a beautiful bird...I haven't seen one and I think your pics are great especially considering the difficult lighting you had. Way to go!

Here's a shot that should go on the disappointed thread! This Red-tailed Hawk landed on the fencepost but was too far away and he wouldn't look at me. Darn it anyway!

alphaba, dellrose and everyone who posts on this thread, your photography puts mine to yearning for better skill, and better camera. Love the Red-tailed Hawk. I've seen them perching on tall trees and power lines, but to get a pix? Ah, I've a long way to achieve that.

I saw a titmouse, yes, a titmouse and Cardinal together on the feeder just now. But I wasn't fast enough to catch their pic. It pleased me just to know, they're still here this time of year. :-)

Oh, I saw half a dozen wild turkeys to the side yard yesterday too. So when I saw the beautiful pictures above. I was so happy, missed out, but someone else did get their pictures. Thanks.

Look at that back claw! Ouch!!! Cool sighting Rose. I know that pic isn't up to your standard, but it's darn good!

Lily_love, I love the wild turkeys too! Sounds like your enjoying your birds. It's so easy to miss a shot. This morning I missed a shot of some yellow bird b/c I was so enthusiastically unwrapping my moonpie that I scared it away!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Check out this huge bird that I just saw on a vacant lot about two blocks from my house. I literally turned the car around and went and got the camera! Pics didn't turn out great. It had a green tint to the dark feathers.

What the heck is that?? Good job on your Vireo!

Melbourne, FL

At least part Muscovy Duck....might be a mix. Great pics in this thread everyone, it really flew by!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Good call GP! I looked that up and it sure looks like one. I thought it was Mother Goose when I first saw it!

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Domesticated Muscovy Duck.

Canadian Goose I saw at the Botanical garden's pond this weekend. Being accustomed in a public garden, the bird walked right up to us visitors without sweating. lol

LOL at Mother Goose!!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

When the goose acknowledged that we didn't have any treat, it went about finding snacks on the grass while the photographer was at arm-length distance.
