Another Mocking bird
Daily Pics Vol. 154
Great pics everyone...glad to see all the birds from around the country!
Burn...I will never forget last year and all the Redpolls you had. I am waiting patiently for yours to arrive also! Mrs. Ed...you had a Hoary didn't you?
Today the sun will shine so hopefully I will be able to share later!
Wonderful pics guys!
Love the Mock and Carolina Chickadee Met. I saw a Northern Mockingbird yesterday but he wouldn't sit still for a pic.
Those Goldfinch are real cute cb!
I would sure love to see a Redpoll at my house!
I had a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak stop by this morning. That was a pleasant surprise. She is in the middle in this pic.
Ooops!! Mrs. Ed corrected me the bird in the middle is actually a female Purple Finch.

Good to know burn! No Rose, I had several common redpolls. The first showed up on Christmas Eve day.
Nanny, I think that's a female purple finch.
oops!! You are so right...duh!! Well, I told you to send some my way...
Great pics everyone....I would love to see one of those Black and White Warblers!
Nice pic nanny! Would love to have one of them.
Great pics of a nice cast of birds Dave!
Nanny, do you have your bird life list at yardbirder.net?
I have my list there..not called life list but it list what I have seen since living here or when we all started them last winter. But I do need to update it. I am a bit behind. Guess I ought to got check it out....
Whats your username over there nanny?
Well, in anticipation of you reaching 100, it would be fun to see!
Welllllll....my user name there is nannysgarden
I was just there updating and Changed it to a LIfe List. Now I started writing down birds in early 2007. But not all so on my list there I just left the 4 birds that I have not seen this year. Under 2008 I have 96 birds....so that equals 100 birds on my Life List. but I only have 99 in my little notebook.
I am still looking to try and firn what the heck I did where. Stay tuned!!!
ahhhhh...I never wrote Canada Goose down in my little notebook...sheesh, what a simpleton!! lol
Sort of anticlimatic huh?? I am gonna keep going and see if I can get 100 for 2008 alone!

Methodical, Dave: Fantastic shots, all!
Nanny: Looks like a party at your feeder. :)
Pelle: Our Downy pals have juuust now started coming back. No good pics yet, here though.
Well I waited all day for the B&W Warbler to return. Nothin' yet.
This isn't nearly as sharp as Dave's, but best I could do. :)
Carolina Wren.
Deb
I'm so far behind, I can't comment on everyones beautiful bird shots, but each has been viewed and savoured.
I went to the swamp yesterday, not expecting much as it was overcast. The sun didn't quite come out, but when things lightened up a bit, I managed to get some shots of the Straw Necked Ibis walking around on the flattened bullrushes. Not quite bright enough to get that little patch of light in the eye, dellrose, but.....
all the junk in the background is my neighbors by the way. He has that tractor rigged with a log splitter believe it or not. But he is 86 and not real tidy. he was sitting outside one day this summer and fell asleep. Squirrel went up his pants leg!! lol
I spotted this Goldfinch thru the hole in this shrub...
Margaret: That Ibis is an amazing creature! Look at the irridescent colors. Wow!
Nanny: Guess squirrely saw the crowd and wanted to join in! He knows a sign of good eats when he sees it. :)
Burn: Such a cute feeder. Love your Bluejay.
Deb
Burn-love your feeder.
No, Nanny, I'm NOT going to comment on the squirrel up the trouser leg. But I'm having a really good laugh I can tell you.
Burn, love your Blue Jay and Chickadee. What a posh feeder.
Yes, Deb, the colours are astonishing. I wish you could view it full screen.
Great shots everyone...Nanny, I am still laughing about your neighbor and the squirrel...LOL! Too funny!
It has been partly sunny yesterday and today but so windy and I am too lazy to really get out and do any shooting. Luckily I have enough birds in the yard that I can shoot from the patio or front porch.
We have so many Goldfinches now and I have tons of pics...but will only show one!
