This is one of the best things in my life I have ever bought. Used it for 2 years now but I broke it this summer trying to slice too many at once. I admit I slammed the thing pretty hard canning the salsa. I have looked for one similar in the big stores but nothing even comes close. You know the infocommercials try to get you to keep adding to your cart.Extra blade an extra chopper. I just didnt do it....... I want just the Slicer!
19.95 for the slicer
6.95 for shipping
26.90 for the total.

Christmas shopping
Sherrie, when I worked for a kitchen gadget distribut. we sold something very similar to that.
I know it's not quite the same thing, but thought I'd mention that I got an Oxo mandoline (slicer) for Christmas a couple years ago, and I absolutely love it!
Other great gifts for cooks on your list are those wonderful Microplane graters (especially the long skinny zester) and, for bakers, a silicone baking pan liner. Those are both things people tend not to buy for themselves, because they've already got something that works OK. I treated myself to the zester a few years ago, and this year bought one for my SIL (along with a silicone mat). I gave both to her when they visited over Thanksgiving, as I didn't think there was much point to putting them under the tree so she could think, gosh I could have used these last week! LOL
I like that picture of you, JoAnn. Very nice.
Sherrie, that Chop Wizard looks great. I sure could use something like that.

Yes, that's a wonderful shot! Great tip also on improving those ho-hum necklines. Thanks!
Yeah, those men's necklines always feel like they're choking me, which is the main reason I buy women's style shirts - so I can have space around my neck. I need a skinnier neck!
Yeah, I could use a skinnier neck, too, Carrie! Nothing eating a lot less and exercising a lot more wouldn't cure. Ha!

Lovely picture, JoAnn. I certainly would not call you an amazon. Good grief. And you look so sweet!
Dont be fooled by my shy smile.
I dont really like to have my picture taken since 1978.
Major clearance sale at Sierra.

Thanks for the heads up, Victor. Will have to check that out.

JC Penney is amazing! DD has a Christmas party for Sat. night but is 8 months pregnant with nothing to wear. I got online and ordered a pair of black pants and a black and red top for her from JC Penney. This was Monday night around 5-6pm.
UPS just dropped my order off at 10am. Took them less than 35 hours to process, ship and deliver to me!!
Oh...and I got FREE SHIPPING!
Yes, their shipping is amazing. That is one thing they have right(their catalog division)-I worked for them for 15 years.
They really have excellent online ordering service! They have yet to let me down in that area.
Nice deal, Celeste. So far I am seeing everyone ship faster this year.Could be that there are fewer orders or that they are just trying harder to please! I ordered a few things from Amazon with the budget (free) shipping option. That normally takes about a week or so. They were here either the following day (if I ordered in the AM) or the day after!
For anybody doing shipping via USPS... just got an email from them asking for my patience and offering some alternative options for online postage... apparently "click 'n ship" is having major problems.
Thanks for the heads up, Critter.

I am so mad at myself! I asked DS what he wanted for Christmas and he said one or 2 warm 'Hoodies'. Well the one he liked was $89.00.....it wasn't the price that bothered me it was the color for that price! He wanted white! So I hemmed and hawed about it but didn't really find anything else he liked so I thought..better just order it. Well I waited to long because it is no longer available!!!! I could kick myself....DH offered to do it for me.

When I look at the picture it's right but when I click on it it shows the black grid one in the picture below.
It's not the black grid one and I think the style # is different.
I'v got to stop going to the shops you rcomend Victor.
Who knew there were Atticus Teeshirts.
My elowence is gone for another week. I didnt go any further so I wont fall for yet another thing I want.
If I hadn't already bought my sisters gift i would get one for her.
Loved Harper Lee.
Mocking Bird is the only book she wrote, but she was a life long friend of Truman Capote's.

Thanks Sherrie! I too looked, I was up to midnight surfing the web for it. I am going to try and call the place Victor linked me to and see what they say. I hope they speak English as all the stores are in Canada and my French stinks!! lol

Good luck Pixie.
I wanted an Aticus tee shirt from Boathouse but they don't carry anything larger than a mens XL.
Hope youe energy is rewarded.
Thanks Jo Ann, I've called one store, they can't access the website so they gave me another # to call. I called that one and asked for Ryan like I was supposed to but he's busy at the moment...had to leave a voice mail with my number. Hope he calls back.....
OK, had to search for the hoodie... I'd call stores that say they have the "success" hoodie in white and ask them if they can look at it and describe the background to you... sometimes the pictures are wrong, sometimes the item name is wrong, and you just have to check.
I found another place that looks right, but the picture doesn't seem to show that faint background print... however, the description says "allover print" so might be worth a call: http://www.killerdana.com/killerdana/product.asp?dept_id=10011&pf_id=10121711&ad_id=Yahoo&key_id=10121711&dl_id=94&
I'm in trouble now.
Googles Atticus tees and got a clothing co. in London.
scrolled down to "to kill a mocking bird" and found "Threadless Tees"
I think they are design students from RhodeIsland School of Design.
The designs are wonderful and the shirts are cheap none over $20.00 most 15 and 10.
OMG Jill,,,,you found it!! I'm not sure what 'BLE' under size means though. I hope it doesn't mean blue or black but it says under desecription that is is white. I'm going to order it and the worst that can happen is I will have to send it back!
Order over the phone (they have an 800 number), and then you can check about the size and maybe also ask about that background print... I'll bet it just didn't show up on that digital photo.
OK ....the place Victor sent me to had it but they don't ship to the States at this time. So that was out, but the place Jill sent me to had one size large left!! I ordered it as soon as I found out the BLE stands for 'Bleached White" the color!!! Thank you all for helping me out...
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! ^_^
Oh...and it was 5$ cheaper and No Shipping!!!!

Yeaaaaa a Christmas triumpth
Yippee! "Designer" stuff is always pricey, I think, but hopefully it'll at least be good quality and a nice heavy weight... "surfer dude" stuff (which this brand seems to be) is usually pretty sturdy. Hope he loves it!
The problem is it's white.... Bleach is what will be in the box with it! LOL
Color safe bleach, I assume... real bleach would probably wipe out that background print. A "bleach pen" might work for removing individual spots at the sink. I hear you on the questionable wisdom of buying a white sweatshirt!
But it was the only thing he asked for.. This is the kid who just went halfs with his Dad on a Nikkon Camera for me for Christmas.
How could I say no?
Gifts don't necessarily have to be practical. :-)
I agree!
YAY!!! So glad you found it, it's that just the best feeling?
Well, I thought I was done shopping but I now have to add 1 more gift, my son's class secret santa, but no more than $5 is allowed, whew.
