gardenpom - Here is a photo I took this morning of not only my LYK x Fuji no Beni bloom, but a Moonflower bloom still wide open from last night! Imagine my surprise to see that! Must be the cool weather! :-)

This is really cool ... this is LYK x Fuji no Beni ... but look closely ... the Yaguruma blizzard pattern is showing up in the newest blooms! :-) I did a double take when I saw it! :-D

And here is that beautiful Chocolate (or is it Rose?) Blizzard vine with several blooms this morning! It is so pretty! (Please, please, please ...begging Mother Nature ....as I am hoping this vine produces some seeds!)

But WAIT ... here is a bloom on the very same Chocolate Blizzard vine. Isn't this quite the contrast! This is the neatest vine!!!!

Here is the purple flaked I. purpurea vine! It reminds me a little of Star of Yelta or President Tyler. Remember my camera doesn't pick up the deep purple (instead shows deep blue which is not the correct color).

Does anyone know what the cross is for this cultivar to get the flaked and partial solid color blooms?

Another bloom from the same vine.

I laughed when I saw this ... two lovely Moonflower blooms and then as I turned the corner around the arbor entrance ... there popped out another one! :-) I guess they were playing peek-a-boo! :-)

Oh! how awesome Debra! Your seedlings look great!!!! :-) How big are the pots that you have them in? They might need to be transplanted up into a larger pot as they do develop a pretty good root system. Remember the Bloom Booster fertilizer as well! :-) I can't wait to see your blooms! :-)

Thank you, Debra and Becky.

I finally got around to downloading some photos I took this morning. The most exciting blooms were the LYK x Kohkan. The newest blooms are really showing the Blizzard pattern of Yaguruma Blizzard (from 2 generations ago!). YAY!!! And the blooms are bigger now, too.

Here is a close-up of one of the blooms! I absolutely love it!!! :-)

Fuji Shibori is producing blooms again. The weather is warmer during the day now, so the blooms are popping!

Hanafubuki is really one of the most elegant and lovely MGs that I am currently growing. The colors, patterns, and graceful flow of these blooms is really divine!

Another bloom on the same vine.

And a 3rd bloom. All different and all stunning! These are large blooms that are about 5-6"! Wonderful eye candy! :-)

Blue Star ... you can see the seed pods forming! So happy about that!! :-) I will be growing this one in the Spring again! I feel like I hit the jackpot with this current grow-out of vines! I do the Ahhh! and Oooh! every morning! LOL!

Star of India. This vine is actually blooming in the shade. I don't see much sunlight getting to it! It is twining around a small shrub. Amazing!

I was thinking this was Chocolate Silk, but I am seeing the white along the edge of the blooms. It must be Chocolate Cocoa or some Rose cultivar. Not sure ...

Becky , great " blizzard " pics
But your Kohkan is a little bit special because it's in fact a Kohkan Blizzard.
In Florida you still in summer !

And last, but not least, by any means ...

I walked out to the back fence and found that the Chocolate Cocoa (or Rose whatever ...) had 4 blooms. The one shown in the photo above was near the base of the vine. These 3 blooms in the photo were twining up the trellis! What a nice surprise to see this one with so many blooms!

And the butterflies are out and about ... this is a White Peacock sunning itself on a Cassia Bush. I love Fall in Florida!

Dany - No longer summer here as the weather has cooled. It is perfect temps now ... low 80's during the day and low 60's at night! :-) The Moonflowers are loving this cooler evening weather!

Dany - Thanks for the compliments on my Blizzard vines. :-) Is it summer in Szarvas?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I have a bouquet of Hanafubuki blooms this morning on my vine. I am really impressed with this vine. While the other MG vines are making an appearance here and there ... this one seems to have from 1 - 4 blooms daily ... even with these cooler temps. :-)

Becky, I love those! infact all the blooms you posted today are gorgeous! btw, would you collect some of those cassia seeds for me?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Debra - I will certainly do that for you. For some weird reason, it did not produce seed pods after the last bloom flush. It is in full bloom now. There are 2 Cassia bushes in that area that were almost standard form (tall) and when we got winds from a hurricane this year, both were up-rooted. I just replanted them and thought perhaps I lost them. But much to my surprise, they came back right away and are thicker and really beautiful bushes again. :-) Please do me a favor and dmail me your request for those seeds. I won't remember otherwise. Thanks! :-)

kinda off topic; Becky have you ever used that cassia plant for tea?
darren
