Gee..they all look nice. I am having computer problems and they will not enlarge for me. I seemed. But it is Dave's that seem to be the only site affected by whatever is wrong. Very Frustrating anyway.
Northern Flicker watching a dispute over in another tree nearby.
Daily Pics - Vol. 150
Neat pics duc!
Love the Flicker nanny!
Nice pic of the Chaffinch in the holly wallaby!
So many great pics on this thread and Nanny let me thank you for starting it.
It has been kind of slow around here this week but was surprised to see this pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Woodpeckers land on the Cocks-comb that I have left for the birds. Unfortunately they were in the shade but hope you can see them OK!
Here is the male,
Fantastic pics from both! I like the first Hawk pic duc, it looks like it's really enjoying it and going to sleep!
Wow rose, fantastic colour co-ordination there! Love the one of them together, what is that ruby coloured thing?
I think this is a Cooper's or Sharp-Shinned Hawk
Sharp-shinned - note the slender ("sharp") legs, small bill, and the even length of the tail feathers (Cooper's has the outer ones slightly shorter)

Looks like a House Sparrow to me...but don't take my word!! lol
Congrats Nanny...you are so close to your goal of 100!!!
Cool shots Pelle...those Blue Jays are such clowns!!
Thanks Wallaby...the plant is a Cocks Comb and some of them got really large this year. I left them up this year as the birds really enjoy the seeds on them. Here is a pic of one of the smaller ones.
Wonderful pics Rose and Nanny!
Rose I saw my female red-bellied woodpecker today too. I don't see the females very often until right before nesting time. We have lots of Robins too but usually only at the very beginning and end of the day.
I think your right thats a House Sparrow.
Here is a missed shot; he came in so fast from out of nowhere I didn't have time to adjust the lens.
Wow...those are nice shots Pelle! That little Chickadee is so cute and that TV looks really close!
holy cow, this must be the gorgeous birds thread!
The chickadees at Ipswich River santuary (Mass Audubon) will help themselves to seeds from your hand. Ours chatter at us to refill the feeder, but are not that tame.
House Sparrow or Tree Sparrow?
House - grey crown, greyish cheeks (red-brown crown, white cheeks with a black spot, on Tree)
Resin
What brilliant shots, everyone. I second what Mrs Ed said about this being the gorgeous birds thread. Rose, the one of the female RBW is stunning.
