Daily Pics - Vol. 150

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Wow..that last one went by quick. Which is funny since we are all saying it is slow right now and not much going on! We came from here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/917843/#top

I am just mesmerized with the Cedar Waxwings. For me, they are truely one of the most beautiful birds that I have ever seen.

So here are a few recent shots from this week...

Just spotted the first Dark-eyed Junco today in my yard.

Grandmaggie might be interested in this. I just bought a new book today called

Natural Pathways of New Jersey. It has all types of places you can go to bird watch. So many right around me that I never knew of before.

About eight miles up stream from here the Starling are gathering. This pic shows about one third of the flock. Luckily they don't show up around here.

Had the same experience this morning with the Starlings, they have gathered by the hundreds, unfortunately they do stay here overwinter. They are a pain at the feeders.
This too is just a small portion.

LOL...pelle!!

The Red-bellied Woodpeckers are coming more to the suet feeders again. I am wondering if the ones I had over the last year are gone, as these all seem like new birds. As if they don't know where the types of feeders are and have to learn them.
