Where were you thinking of putting them? Unless you are planning to expand the boundaries of your garden beds I don't see where you'd fit them in.

Where exactly are you trying to fill in? The beds you have look pretty full so unless you're planning to expand the beds into the dirt pathway in the middle I don't know where you'd fit much of anything else.

I'm not sure that grass is the best thing in your climate, I suspect it'll need too much water to keep it looking nice. There are some more drought tolerant grasses but they still will need more water than most of your other plants. And if your climate has dry summers but some rain in the winter then there are some grasses that you can stop watering in the summer and they go dormant, then when it rains in the winter they'll green up again. But they'll look brown and dead during the hotter months unless you spend a lot of money to keep it watered and I'm not sure that would give you the look you want. There are other groundcovers you could try like creeping thyme, but if that area gets a lot of foot traffic they won't hold up that well. But if you plan to leave a pathway somewhere so that people aren't walking directly on the groundcover then you've got some options. Here's a website that specializes in things that do well in hot dry climates--since they're in the US you probably can't order things from them but you can at least get the names of some plants and then look for them in your area. Here are their groundcovers: http://www.highcountrygardens.com/catalog/browse/ground-covers/
