i planted a few seeds a few weeks ago, they germinated, but they all died by now. the weather is not that cold yet.
is it because the weather is getting cold or is it because the daylight it shortening?
is it possible to grow cucumbers now?
I'm growing some in the greenhouse, they look real strong but havent started climbing yet. Its a constant temperature in the gh at school where I'm growing these. I'll bet the nights cant be very cold and I think they have to have at least 6 hours of sun.
I would think too cold. I know that I could not grow any this late in my zone, outside of a greenhouse anyway. Mike
What are your overnight temps?
Weather Underground is reporting low 50's overnight for the coming week which should be excellent weather for cucumbers. Cucumbers ARE very frost sensitive however and will be the first to die amongst other vegetables when you have a frost or near-frost.
Did you start seeds indoors? outdoors? What soil and conditions did you plant the seeds in?
