What am I? And should I be repotted?

I can't seem to definitively ID this guy. He kinda looks like an Easter Lily cactus (that would be great!; I've always wanted one) but then again he also looks like a Lobivia of some kind. Can anyone shed some light?

He is also really hard to water from the top because he's filled out his pot so completely. I could bottom water, but I'm terribly forgetful and am apt to forget to dump the water, leaving my plants with wet feet. I gently pulled him out of the pot to check his roots and he's pretty rootbound. Should I repot him, or should I wait until spring when active growth commences?

It's definitely not an Easter Cactus.

I'm sorry, I meant Easter Lily Cactus as in an echinopsis variety, not the schlumbergera types. :)

Sorry, LadyEagle, I was the one that read it wrong. :) You did say Easter Lily Cactus. Good luck in identifying it.

It doesn't look the same as any Easter lily cactus in PlantFiles: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=easter+lilly+cactus&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&searcher%5Bgrex%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=with&Search=Search&searcher[common]=Easter%20Lily%20Cactus , but it can still be some Echinopsis sp. or hybrid.
I don't think it matters much whether you repot it now or in Spring. It should be kept cool and dry in winter in any case, ie no deep watering. If you decide to repot it, use 1 size larger pot, add cactus potting mix around, and don't water after repotting.

I have two of those, but right now I can't think of the name for the life of me.If it's all roots,go ahead and repot as Bagel_K says, but if they are growing indoors under lights,I would not repot until spring. Now is their dormancy time.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated! *crossing my fingers that Ibrabec remembers the name* ;)

I think I will go ahead and repot it. It is growing on a windowsill, and I will pot up into a 1 size larger pot in cactus mix. I didn't know about not watering it after, thanks!

I will try to look when I get home.I may have a picture.Has yours bloomed yet? For a quick answer I would post on the cacti and succulent thread.
