Daily Pics - Vol. 147

Melbourne, FL

According to one of my bird books, one bird you only see in Texas is the Golden-Fronted Woodpecker. Also the Ladder-backed Woodpecker cannot be found in Florida. You also have the Vermilion Flycatcher, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Bell's Vireo, Golden-cheeked Warbler and many others that can't be found here. So find those and pack them up and I'll send a Painted Bunting or two ;)

Morning all. We'll soon be waving goodbye to this thread and I'll try to start a new one. If you end up linked to the Moscow Times, you'll get some idea of my technical abilities.

You guys have been running with this thread, took me a while to go through it. Great shots everybody.
Mrs_Ed you should be seeing more of the Purple finches now, I sent them down to you with good wishes. You take good care of them for me.
I'm still waiting for the Redpolls to arrive. Should be here soon.
I have loads of Robins here.

Here are a couple of Pileated Woodpeckers. Sorry the picture isn't that great. Had to take it from a distance. They kept circling that tree like crazy!
