I still can't get a good shot of the Bewick's Wren....dang it anyway! It is a bit smaller than the Carolina and hope it is the same one that spent last winter entertaining me!

Oh! He's so cute. I don't think I'd know the difference if a different wren came to visit. I assume all of mine are Carolinas!

Landed right in front of me, in the sun, with the sun at my back and yet, the picture is a total wash out! It wouldn't have been pretty anyway because of the diseased clematis, but you'd think the bird would look good. Darn it. I think it was a Kinglet. This pic doesn't even pass Nanny's "you can tell what it is" criteria!

you know, i was able to adjust levels a bit. Not too bad except it looks like she moved to quickly for your camera sped.

That's much better actually. Camera speed eh? So it's not MY fault at all! LOL!

Well, I took a ton of photos yesterday and they were all just terrible. I think this was a tree swallow b/c it looked green through the binoculars. I don't think I've photographed one before, so definitely a disappointment!

I was pretty disappointed about this one too, some kind of flycatcher.

Your second one looks like some a Pewee or Phoebe Elphaba

Second is an Eastern Phoebe. First is a UFO*. Actually, it might well be another Eastern Phoebe.

I see it Hel. Boy, you lucky thing having Regent Bowerbirds. Spectacular colour even if the focus isn't spot on.

Hi Marg, will try and send a better one. They are so fast at feeding and are so qhick, it's a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

Maybe a White-throated Sparrow...but whatever it is, this could have bee a cool shot IF...
