The Crazy Chicken Crew and Their Titles

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Sir perhaps it has been infiltrated. Do we have a Techie Officer?

(Zone 7b)

Now i got that threw.
Grow were you refering to H.R Puff&Stuff the one with Witchi poo?

Lodi, United States

Well--it is almost "September Song" by Kurt Weil and Bertolt Brecht as sung by Lou Reed...but no, not the way you wrote it.

Oh it's a long, long time from May to December,
And the days grow short, as you reach September...
And I've lost a tooth and I walk a little lame,
And I don't have time, for the waiting game.

So sad and beautiful....I need a moment.

Clarkson, KY

Yes!!! We barely got that show through the fuzz!!

(Gen'rul, I was hopin' you'd say sumpin' 'bout kisses...);-P yerself, Ma'am.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

ok now I'm misty.

Clarkson, KY

Kiss me once
And kiss me twice
And kiss me once again
It's been a long, long time

Afore your time Cats-y-poo!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

No tech officer at present. Volunteers?

Commander Moxon number 41269 reporting. And I do NOT have peculiar idioms, thank you very much Captain Catscan. :-P

I am also Commander of Midwest Ground Control (MGC).

And I don't know what TF's title is.

AND, for goodness sake Brigidlily....are you Minister of Pastries or Senior Chef Pastrypuff? How on earth am I expected to keep up with this changing of titles!! ;-)

Clarkson, KY

Your startin' to fit in misty to fuzzy to THERE!!lol

(Zone 7b)

I had a huge crush on Jack Wild the guy that was on there. SO sad i googled him one day and he died of cancer and i wanted to marry him.

Clarkson, KY

It was never meant to be....

Lodi, United States

No, I know it--Brecht was before my time too. I know a terrible number of lyrics. I am technically tone-dumb--but I always learn the lyrics. Would you like the entire libretto of Gilbert and Sullivan?

The correct answer is, of course, NO!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I have absolutely no idea what and who any of you all are talkin' about.

(Zone 7b)

I hate to see people my age die it makes me think of my inmortality.

Not to worry Moxon... It ain't a Cannuck thang.... LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Glad to hear you are immortal Harmony. I wish I was.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh! General Ma'am! Did you read about my goat with meningeal deer worm, ma'am?

(Zone 7b)

Claire Jack wild was this totaly cute guy who was on the show H.R. Puff & Stuff a early 70s show i believe . It was a silly kids show i only watched it to drool over him.
Had posters of him all over my room i wanted to Mrs. Wild (sigh)
I wanted to see what he was doing today and just like all us stupid 70s teens he smoked and died of throat cancer.

I'm and x smoker been 10 years now.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Good for you for quitting Harmony. I have never tried it or had the inclination. I think you need to give some quitting smoking counseling to a few members of the crazy chicken crew though!

My mom only let me watch 2 hours television per WEEK. Therefore I didn't watch much. I preferred books anyway. When I did watch, it was usually kids science shows. Uh oh, my nerd is showing.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Yes I did Moxon...I was going to suggest a regimen of Ivermectin, which is by the way, what I use to both worm my dogs and prevent and cure Heartworms...I have used it for nearly 20 years with perfect results...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

She's on Ivomec, panacur, and dex-something. The Dex is a steroid. The ivomec and panacur are both dewormers and they doubled up because it's in the spinal cord and the meds need to pass the blood brain barrier and nobody's sure what is best.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

This is a good link : http://www.sheepandgoat.com/articles/deerworm.html

I also had a concern about this with the upcoming move to MI, where the darn deer practically live on the back porch...It is a very serious concern and definitely something to think about when planning pastures for me....
I will be checking drainage, and wait for a year after treating the areas before any goats or sheep take up residence...I intend to completely fence the areas, and include electric wire on the outside to deter the deer from trying to breach it...I may have a few meat goats, but I plan on sheep as well for the wool, as well as some angora goats for the hair...
Since my income will be fixed, I certainly can't afford to lose stock to this...

(Zone 7b)

Claire i started at the age of 6 sneakin daddys cigarettes and didn't get to really smokin till i was 13 miss cool with her Marlboro's. I only stopped during pregnancy and then in 97 my sister died of a heart attack at 48 and they said smokin probably was a factor .
2 weeks after that i came down with pneumonia sittin in the emergency room and couldn't breath they gave me a breathing treatment and the doctor said well you know this is the first sign your lungs is getting bad.
Point blank he said you need to decide you can quit and live or keep smoking and die well true smoker i was i went out under the street light of the emergency room.
Lit a long one and looked up it was misty rain and said i want to see my son grow up i finished that last one stepped on it and never touched another one.

Ok, LM Moxon, Sirette,
I can either be "chopped liver" or Techie Officer. However, due to my abilities to whip a computer in shape in under 2.3 minutes, I prefer to be referred to as Master Techie Officer, Shan. OR, MTO Shan for short.
BTW, I can also whip up a mean batch of Praline Pumpkin Pie to DIE for :)

Harmony~
I believe we were separated at birth!

H.R. Puff n Stuff.
Who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Puff N Stuff.
You can do a little, when you can't do enough!

I loved that show so much (and yes...a Jimmy crush I had, too! And, being a musician, Freddie the flute wasn't too bad, either!) that I would walk 1/2 mile to the library to rent the VHS tape for my son when he was little! Needless to say, he would not know who Witchie Poo was if I hadn't!

Funny.

(Zone 7b)

Most people i know never heard of it my sis said it was stupid.

Okay help me was it the Bug a Boo's i liked that show too!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

OK Music, you've been added!

Clarkson, KY

Gah! We didn't get good enough reception to crush on anybody!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Lieutenant Major Harmony, you had better get your butt in gear and get the copter returned to General Dusty cuz she is pretty steamed about your having commandeered her 'copter and I told her it was all for the chickens but she's got a bee in her bonnet or maybe her flight boot, so you better get going. She's over in the NE forum lookin' for her 'copter. She's kinda scary when she's mad.

Reynoldsville, PA(Zone 6a)

wow, i feel unloved, lol don't forget to name me 2 please!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

But of course, dear Silkiechick!!! What title would you like? Your choice! Review all the other titles and pick something creative or interesting....

By the way, THANK YOU for the AWESOME eggs! They arrived today, every single one in perfect condition. I am thrilled to pieces. Perfect packaging!

Reynoldsville, PA(Zone 6a)

Dunnellon, FL(Zone 9a)

hmmmm....bug-a-boos. It sounds familiar, but not sure about the 70's.
There were a whole bunch I loved to watch on THE BANANA SPLITS show. H.R. was on there, as well.
Ahhh...the good ol' days.
:)

Greensboro, AL

Clarkson, KY

Aaaah, our poor puzzled mothers - little did they know what hatchings they were responsible for. giggle.

Clarkson, KY

Silkie's the Queen of Fluffed and Furléd Fowl (our designated QuuFFle)

Greensboro, AL

Ill drink to that!

I just made a pot of green tea.

Clarkson, KY

I'm glad it's something healthful like green tea considering what you may be drinking to!! Hey Glor!

Greensboro, AL

I figured I might need green tea as this drama unfolds!

Hey grownut.

I do believe winter is coming early this year - that's when the northern half of the country gets a little crazy.

Batten down the hatches er hatcheries! Oh. I meant down the hatch!

Clarkson, KY

Boy, what's my excuse then I wonder, genetic? hmm. and my hatch needs battened...it's flappin'
