I used Chicago Midway Arpt cause it was cheaper than flights flying to KC...I'm talkin anywhere the most of us could meet the most economically.. so, I'll put you on the list.. woohoo!

Go going Bonnie, checking those flights. It is only 2 ½ flight time from Prov to Chi. I did the commute for work every couple of months for 2 years. Sometime the flights into Ohare were better priced. I also driven it a few times it’s about 15 to 16 hours from Prov. The two airports are only 45 mins. apart. We do not want to stay near Midway unless it is very close to the airport. Midway is in the South side of Chicago and it like the song goes. Not an area you want to walk around in if you want to live long.

lol, well Fremont is near San Francisco. I usually have free flight miles with united, but mom has been using them to come visit me ~okay actually she's REALLY coming to visit her great grandson, just uses me as an excuse so I'll give her my flight miles! lol!
I'll check United and also Jetblue was running specials that were $99 each way...of course that was before the gas stuff...so will check around.
Now you all know my Bday is 3/9 so.... if we all met up the next weekend, we could use my birthday as an excuse! teehee!

I will help in anyway I can. As for cost of flying for me, DH retired from an airline, so I can fly at a discounted rate. Since I fly standby I am not always sure which flight I will be on. One time we wanted to go to Spain, so I bought a Spanish-English dictionary, only to end up in Germany. Do you know how hard it is to find a Spanish speaking German? LOL

Mer - that varigated ginger is beautiful. Mine is solid but is still in bloom and smells wonderful. 80 degrees? I have had two light frost! I am flying into OKCity Oct 31 for just a few hours and then riding with my boss up to Tulsa and catching a flight out of there that evening. One of these times when I go down for a week maybe we can meet. Who was the little trader in the picture?

Dug more flower beds today and edged up a couple. I filled the bucket on the tractor 3 times with sod. Then decided to clean the water garden! What a job. Least it warmed up enough I didn't freeze to death in the 55 degree water. Fishes are all ready for winter, I hope. I must of had 15 frogs in the pond. Since I am on well water I pretty much got all the old water out, washed down the sides and refilled it. DH says it is suppose to get really cold next week. Got a fun catalog today, love catalogs, from Lee Valley Tools, it has garden stuff and woodworking stuff (which I love) and all kinds of stuff.
Well, better try to go to sleep, so I can get up tomorrow and keep edging and digging. Everyone have a great day!
Good morning all! My, I see ya'll were busy with hottie RU plans ☺ So good to see everyone working together! Tyler, Texas 25 miles from me does have an airport but it is only a shuttle type port to DFW in Dallas where you have to catch another plane to your destination. I could drive to my daughter Chelsea's house in Dallas and catch a plane from DFW to my destination if you want you can plan me as coming from Dallas, it will be easier for planning purposes.

I'm in for a Hottie RU. And of course, Deb, you're invited. You are definitely a hottie with your love of people and plants. :) I think we've started right with getting a list of who would be interested, if at all possible, then settle on a location, then set a date (March is kind of iffy for me) and then see what we can work out for a group rate at a hotel, getting as much discount as we can. I could see a whole Hottie floor booked just for us. Then, we start conniving and figuring and saving and working on making sure everyone can get there. That part is the last thing we need to decide and work on.
Hope everyone is feeling better this morning! We really all need to get well or recover, we have had a lot of sickness lately. (HUGS!)

Karen had the heater on here too. I really do not like the cold. Watching the garden shows this AM and drinking coffee. Oh and our Lincoln Linen and things is going out of business too!! How sad! Victim's of the economy. I keep thinking about all the employees that are losing their jobs.
