I'm not sure if this may be an immature male, because this one has some blue feathers visible.

You guys are doing a super job with your post. Thanks Sue for the new thread. The other one went so fast, had to catch up.

I'll start with a Blue Jay, in a weird position.

On monday I got absolutley no pics and yesterday started off slow but then exploded and I got several pics. But I mostly did alot of just watching and listening. I find more and more that if I LISTEN I will find the birds!

First we started off with birds in the yard... Crow getting a drink

Great pics everyone!

Not sure how to do the quoting thing but this is for Nanny...I know you would share the Cedars if you could but they are very unpredictable birds, I have found. Maybe that's why I like them so much.

Lovely pictures everyone. I just love how friendly and laid-back everyone is on this forum.

I find the quote to much trouble myself... lol

I can't believe that I was so oblivious to all the birds here last fall(our first out here). Of course I did not get the digital camera until the end of November.

Crazy I tell you, it was a sight yesterday... wish I could have gotten some really good pics of them, but man they are flighty things!!

Just a glimpse here... a Waxwing back...If I were taller, I could have touched it!!

Nanny, isn't it weird how once you start looking, you can't believe what you've been missing! The other night I was sitting outside as it got dark. I was remembering my best friend and laughing at our past antics when I realized that I should be looking for owls. I looked up and there was a screech owl right in front of me!

Linth, FABULOUS photos. I love that cormorant.
Dave, I LOVE that red-bellied shot! You can even see part of the red belly!
GP, I'm insanely jealous of your buntings, but I love seeing your pictures.
I shouldn't have started singling shots out because they are all so good! Thanks for sharing everybody!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Ooo a Screech Owl ...how cool!! I just haet to think what all I have missed the last 52 years because I wasn't looking..LOL!

Mr. Blue Bird is all done molting and looking quite handsome now. This one will sit still most of the time while I manuver around trying to get better angle/light. The ones at the other end of the road aren't as cooperative.

I'm pretty sure this is a Common Yellowthroat, but please correct me if I am wrong. Got several pics, but it was early and they did not turn out well.
