Congrats Nanny and GP...you are both on a roll!!
Thought I would sneak in a few pics of Cedar Waxwings that landed in the dead tree (while my computer was down)!! What a thrill!!
DAILY PICS Vol. 144
Beautiful waxwings...I got to see some up close, but my pics weren't that good. That was a thrill for me.
Ooo, that Wilson's Warbler is a cutie!! I had some type of warbler in our tree last night but the pic did not turn out. Thru the viewfinder it had looked like maybe a Palm.
Thanks Nanny...it was a thrill to finally see the Waxwings! One of these days I hope to get some shots of them eating berries as I've seen posted in the past. These landed in the dead tree...the birds seem to use it as a lookout point. I would like to get a closer view...sigh.
I haven't seen too many Warblers...not like the Queen of the Warblers...LOL!
This Hawk landed in the tree awhile back. I think it is a Coopers! It flew over my head earlier today but I wasn't quick enough to get a shot!
First-winter Yellow-rumped Warbler.
Next two up are correct, American Goldfinch and Cooper's Hawk.
Resin
adel, I believe it is a Say's Phoebe.
Grasmussen...........I hope you're right. That would be a new bird for my list. I checked Sibley and it does look like a Say's Phobe. Thanks.
Great pics everyone! This has been a wonderful thread!
Yep, Say's Phoebe
Resin
Since two experts say it's a Say's I'm putting it on my list. Thanks.
Thanks Resin and congrats Adel on your new bird! I've never seen a Say's Phoebe!
