The last. GM

One beautiful picture after another. I really loved the hummingbirds and the bluebird "waving". Here is one of a mocking bird that was singing his/her little heart out last night in the crepe myrtle tree.

I got a shot of the mocking bird singing, but not as good quality as the others.

tigerlily, the Sapsucker's interaction with you sounds very special. Lucky you.

Hey nanny, what number are you up to now? Nice Woodpecker.

Wow, GM, those shots of the Turkey Vulture are amazing.

Nice shots, mrw.

Here's a shot of a Rainbow Lorikeet on a Banksia flower in the bushland that abuts the swamp from this afternoon.

I am still hangin' at 92...I already had Hermit Thrush on the list. I am taking pics of anything with the hope of it being a new bird! LOL

I not sure you this was with the Red-bellied Woodpecker...I can't focus that good on something that small.

Great picture of the lorikeet - I've only see those in a zoo.

Great pics of the Vulture and love the Lorikeets. Here is what I think is an American Kestrel.

GM...love that Turkey Vulture, very up close and personal!

MRW..I love those Mockers...I have finally returned to the yard, I really missed them!

Nanny...It looks like you have a Mockingbird and a female Red-bellied in that pic! What list has 92 ?

Margaret...Beautiful!

GP..Great pics of so many birds...lucky you!

I am so happy to have the White Crowned Sparrows in the yard again! This one got scared away by a Black Walnut dropping from the tree. Scared the you know what out of both of us!! LOL!

I am trying to get a 100 birds on my list before the end of the year. All have been seen here on my half mile circle except 3 or 4 that I saw down by the lake. Just a little challenge for myself!

I thought it might be a Mocking bird. I had another pic of it but can't find it now. LOL

This Eastern Towhee was so close to me...I almost missed it!

I need to start working on my list. I'll have to go back and review my pics, as I have not been keeping track. Love the Towhee, nanny!

Love the Nuthatch GM!

This isn't a great pic but I just wanted to show it because along with the 2 types of Kinglets in the back theres a number of Yellow-rumped Warblers.

I love the Nuthatches too ... they haven't returned to the yard but I heard them this morning!

Pelle...We have had lots of YR Warblers too, you are lucky to get that shot as they are so quick. I would faint if I saw a Kinglet in the yard, I only see them in the tree line.

Actually a pellet - it'll be made up of various indigestible oddments that it has swallowed as part of other food, such as insect exoskeletons, mud stuck to earthworms, fruit pips, etc.

You did very well to catch the pellet in mid-drop!!

If I'm correct here, I have my fourth Bald Eagle sighting, this time an immature one. Edited to correct sightings, I had forgotten one.

Hawk, probably Cooper's. Note the long tail and broad wings with rounded, 'fingered' tips. A falcon would have narrower, pointed wings, never split into separate 'fingers' (note though that the fingers don't always show on hawks; a bird with fingers can't be a falcon, but a bird without doesn't have to be a falcon).

Thanks, nanny....and thank you Resin for the IDs and "fingers" tip. Maybe that will help.
