I have tried everywhere to find the name of this plant. The leaves are very soft and purple underneath. They also have pink blooms occasionally. It lives very well as a houseplant. The mature leaves are about 2" long. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

but I think I'm way off with this ID. Hopefully someone will come along and recognize your plant and give you the correct name.

I bet that's exactly what it is! I knew it didn't quite match the Caricature plant! I vote for the Ruellia!
